  1. I have grabber at2 on my ranger and they have gone out of shape on the side walls (still usable) I am not overly impressed by their grip off road, especially when towing. I have BFG at's on my main landy and they are excellent, BFG mud terrains on the other landy and they are ok. I will eventually run bfg at's on all the trucks.

    Tipper ram

I have always found the air works itself out
  3. Your gvw can exceed 3500kg if using a "dual-purpose vehicles (e.g. Land Rovers) and their trailers; and you don't need an OL OL guide page 5
  4. I managed to get hold of 120 tons of granite/mixed rock chips and used that instead of stone/ shingle, looks very nice indeed and doesn't bunch up much even if I u turn with the trailer on it. Tarmac or any other hard surface would have cost a fortune to cover the area I had to do.
  5. Just me who thinks it's fugly then. The front end looks all out of proportion to me.
  6. NFU appear to be happy insuring anything landy wise. They offered to insure an 8 seat 110 conversion that was to carry school kids that no one else would touch, and for that they just wanted an engineers report, but sadly the NFU have become far too expensive. That said, Rural insurance were happy to insure my 130 with the performance mods at no extra.
  7. bare in mind you will have to extend the wiring loom, brake line and fuel lines and a 130 rear propshaft among other things. I was going to do it to my 110 hicap but decided it would be easier to sell it and buy a 130. Also bear in mind finding an insurance company may be an issue, when I was going to do mine the NFU were happy to accept it provided they had copies of the MOT
  8. Who is chris evans ?
  9. Same here We put on the quote that the garden needs to be cleared by the customer before I get there, if they can't be bothered then off I go, I don't need the work that badly. I have only walked off a couple of jobs in my 35+ years though.
  10. Anywhere from 32 down to 22 depending on what you are doing with it and how heavy your right foot is
  11. Good to hear you are on the mend This is very true, I thought there were talks about men having a regular test, like women do for breast and cervical cancer, probably got put on the shelf with all the latest cuts.
  12. The man has balls, but can't help feeling it was an incredibly stupid thing to do that could have had serious consequences. Maybe I need to get a life ?
  13. There was a very nice 7.5 ton version on there for sale earlier this year but very pricey.
  14. They are going to be too heavy for me to deal with i'm afraid.
  15. how big is it ? length diameter and weight, roughly

    lawn feed ?

Personally I wouldn't use ferous sulphate or lawn sand on a lawn that has not established well and is still very young, a well watered in granular fertiliser would be my choice.
  17. That was quick I might renew mine soon, hopefully it will sell as quickly.
  18. What size ifor is it on ?, there are several sizes available Is it a double or triple extension Any extra services Has it got an up to date test. For anyone interested in one of these I would highly recommend having the stabiliser legs shortened, cost me a couple of hundred quit but cheaper in the long run than paying to have the beams straightened or renewed, and you don't have to keep worrying about bending them as they do hang quite low.
  19. Sadly these are somewhat slow to use and big butts really is all they are suitable for imo. They could be made faster but that would cause more whip in the crane and require more strengthening on the trailer and again less payload, it's a bit of a trade off.
  20. Yes I do have one, best thing since sliced bread it's on an LM146 and has a payload of nearly 2100kg, the crane fitted to these is a bonfiglioli and they have the best lift/crane weight of pretty much anything available but it is at the cost of quality imo, put a better quality crane on and you loose the payload. These are/were made by what is now truck and marine crane but was ACB hydraulics. Mine was about 8 months old when I bought it, it had extra services, rotator and grab, price new was pretty scary at nearly 15k inc VAT with all the extras. It's rated at 1000kg with the boom in and can do that and more with ease, they are suprisingly hard to tip over (and I have tried ) just to see how stable it is. It's one of those things that is worth the money if you can find someone who actually has a proper need for it, I believe there was another on here that took ages to sell. For my next one I will probably sacrifice a bit of payload though and get a better quality crane, as it gets a lot of use. I would not be without one now.
  21. Out of interest what ifor is it ? and is it a double or triple extension boom, and has it any auxiliary services ? I assume it has the loncin engine ? Is that a recent photo ?
  22. Bugger trying to get one of those down at the start of the day
  23. They do indeed, it's in quite a few supermarkets now, but obviously far dearer than the false rubbish, tastes so much nicer though.
  24. Rocks cordial What do I win ?
