  1. Can I have my wheels back now please They look very nice, are they the steel (which I want) or alloy one's ?

I know this is a bit of a odd question for the cabinet makers on here, and I understand price will vary hugely on spec but I have been looking to buy 2 bedroom cupboards and am not really impressed by the mass produced crap out there that you could blow over, and it's that time in life where I can have better quality. So I wondered what sort of money would I be looking at very roughly for 2 wardrobes 1.8m high and 1.1m wide with two doors, ideally cream painted oak, or whatever you would suggest best, built by a proper cabinet maker. Feel free to PM me if you want.
  3. I have to work some of it. Then was hoping to go for a paddle on the river but it looks pretty murky and nasty at the moment, so looks like I will probably be moving all my tools and machine tooling to the new tool cabinets I have just bought myself. I know how to have a good time

  5. Well I have had the intercooler and VNT on for 6 weeks now, I still haven't got around to sorting the fueling 100%, and need to try the modded fuel pin. That aside I used the Ranger with the crane trailer one morning this week, I always thought the ranger towed it well once it was rolling, but it has made me realise just how much difference the mods have made to the power the defender now has, the increase in torque has made towing much easier. I really need to get some decent seats now though as I spend so much time driving it some comfort would be nice, and my other gripe is the noise, I may put it into the local trimmers to see if they can quieten it down. Does anyone know what other seats can be used ? I would really like to get something more comfortable and quite, but just can't find anything suitable.(except a land cruiser)

    This is the reason I now have my lines registered as business lines with BT, the issue we had was sorted the same day. Costs slightly more but worth it imo.

  8. Myself and another member on here bought some barrow bags from bag supplies a couple of years ago and the covers didn't last much over a year, I wouldn't use them again.
  9. I hope you get him sorted Jon We get far too attached to our dogs, and it's really distressing to see them ill. Sadly we had to put Willow to sleep this week after battling with her liver failing. I don't mind admitting I am devastated.

  12. Another good programme ruined, shame as I liked it but I suppose all good things must come to an end. Bring back Angus Deayton I say.
  13. I have one, currently filling big bags and pulling out 1700 pear trees. It does the job but having had a Kubota aswell I wouldn't call it the best machine, but it get's the job done.
  14. I believe it's something to do with the vacuum pipes to the diff lock/rfw on the front axle
  15. I can If you do re use it like Johny said make sure it fits back exactly right, and get it changed soon as poss.
  16. You can but it's not advisable, especially if it's under a lot of strain, they are cheap as anything and most bearing shops should stock them.

    TBH VOSA weren't really that interested, I mentioned about taking it in for an SVA if they wanted and they said there would be no need. I should have got it in writing and had I proceeded I would have tried to. I also ran it past the NFU as it was them that will insure it and all the underwriters wanted was a copy of the MOT, But at the end of the day if you were involved in a fatal accident it's VOSA that will need satisfying. I would assume that the design was approved at 3500kg when land rover built them, so don't see why it would be an issue provided it was upgraded to the same spec.

    If you go through the defender parts lists you can see what bits are different. I have spoken to our local VOSA office about it, they were fine with it, so long as it had the changes made, personally I would only do it if the Local Land Rover dealer could inspect it and get a proper factory plate. I believe there are a few members on here who have done it, and iirc one of those had a new plate stamped by land rover. If I ever get around to doing my 110, I will upgrade it to 3500kg, that was when I looked into it, but was a few years ago. there is a bit of info on the landy forums about it aswell. I stand to be corrected but I think most 3500kg landies have the heavier duty Salisbury axle, and that was also fitted to high capacity pick ups, and the high cap was available as a 3500kg option.

    Was a long time, but from memory it's front springs, rear springs and assisters, extended front bump stops, and then depending what wheels you have they may not be suitable for the higher rear axle load.

    You need to uprate the suspension and a couple of other bits to take it up to 3500kg.

    It will go by what is on the plate if you get pulled across a weighbridge.
