  1. Has it been in before about it ? If it has you can probably return it under the sale of goods act. You would probably be better off asking a solicitor who specialises in vehicle law. If it was mine I would be looking at finding a way to return it. Edit: is none of this modern day crap tested properly anymore ?
  2. Marsland or Richards Personaly though I wouldn't touch Richards after they sent us a 130 chassis that we refused to unload off the delivery truck due to poor welding/ tidying up and dreadfull galvanising quality, that said the series chassis underneath ours was very nicely built.
  3. I have been buying my trailer tyres from here Pneus Online
  4. I have an stt on one side rear and bfg mud on the other on our hicap and have found it's always the stt that slips first.

Hammer and very small chisel is normally what I use, if you cant catch it on the edge upwards try tapping it down and backwards at the front, or at the back towards the front so it slides out of the groove with a pin punch, if that makes sense ?
  6. I have noticed the newer landy owners don't wave much.
  7. There should be a manufacturers recommended minimum disc thickness. I had a transit minibus that I thought needed new discs last year, it felt like a deep lip,but it was actually a huge amount of rust built up on it. when checked with a mic the disc was hardly worn.
  8. It must be bloody hard being perfect
  9. Look into Dinitrol over Waxoyl, I done all of the body on my 130 rebuild with it and wouldn't touch waxoyl again, 4 years on and the Dinitrol is still like it was when I put it on. I put a first coat of cavity wax on and then put the black underbody wax over that.
  10. Ibex's have the axle as far back as it can go and apparently the swb ibex is a dream to tow with. It's the reason I didn't want any overhang on my 130, less rear overhang does make a huge difference.
  11. It's a very nice stable setup. I have some friends who run 2 of that exact setup without any problems.

    Watchdog

Sadly they sleep very well as the have no scruples.
  13. I visit an osteopath once a month. May sound a bit ott but he has made my life soo much better. I used to have to manipulate my way out of bed in the morning and it hurt like hell.
  14. They still have one of those in East Bergholt, rare thing now days.
  15. Although they are valid points, especially the tyre scrub, they do tow much nicer than a twin, having now spent a few years with a tri-axle every day I doubt I would consider twin axles again. That tri-axle Brian James tipper looks rather nice.
  16. How much is the Brian James ? I have seen a few of them about now and they look a nice well built and well finished trailer. As I said resale value is the only thing that would concern me.
  17. The only alloy used on the bed is the centre section. They may do lots of testing but it's not a lot of use if you don't use what you find out. They had a problem with the centre posts cracking badly, first the welds break then the steel cracks through, when we called them about it they said "yes we know about that problem, we will send you a new set" trouble is the new set are identical to the old ones, so they really sorted that problem out. Like I said I wouldn't touch their tippers again, the flatbeds still take some beating though.
  18. I have the newer style 10x5 and am not very keen on it compared to the old design. It doesn't get used much now I have the crane trailer.
  19. I find the covering strip between the ali and steel floor a pain in the backside when shoveling stuff off. Unless they have changed them the battery charging is not standard, but is easily added.
  20. Very relaxing, I used to do a lot myself but sadly just don't get the time now, I should try make time though.
  21. The quality of ifor tippers is nowhere near what it used to be imo, when they brought out the lightweight models they made a huge mistake. I would be looking at the Brian James tippers if I was replacing mine now, they look well built from what I have seen, but as said ifors do always hold their resale value.
  22. Do well Graham I will contact you when I get near to needing them.
  23. I must have missed something, I didn't realise you now had a mill. I have a couple of nice oak sticks I may want milling into 8x8 posts for a porch if you were interested ? but won't be until mid next year at the earliest.
  24. Kayaking and my motorbikes, also getting back into home brewing again if you can call that a hobby.
