  1. That's a better response than I had from a dealer when I was interested in one and mentioned this issue, he just laughed and said "there is no such problem" burying your head in the sand sprung to mind, that and them insisting that you could still carry 1100kg when towing 3500kg meant I didn't bother taking the test drive.
  2. Just an update on this. A fantastic truck to drive but these are the non turbo version and I was a bit surprised by how little torque the engine has for a lump as big as it is, I have been looking at the figures tonight and on paper it has less torque and HP than my 300tdi and full width intercooler with a standard turbo. It really was a pleasure to drive though, a hell of a lot nicer to drive than a landy, I could even hear myself speak. If they could get it in the turbo version I would have bought it there and then, as it is I waiting to speak to someone who has one and uses it for towing before I go any further.
  3. I will be going up there over the weekend to have a look at one hopefully. I was going to buy a new van for a motorhome conversion soon, but now this has come up I may make another demountable to go on the back if I get it.
  4. I have a milk intolerance, funny enough I used to drink loads of the stuff aswell. However I can drink goats full fat milk, butter and cheese without any issues, we have a goats cheese that blows your head off I don't think it's something that comes on with having too much, my youngest son was born with it.
  5. It's most likely the protein in the milk, which is used in muscle repair.
  6. I already done that, hence I have the shake Although I am currently knocking the pea protein out of the shake for a week to see if it really makes a difference.
  7. I get in from work do my little bit of training and then have either goats milk or soya milk with a scoop of pea protein with either a whole banana or blueberries all slung in a liquidiser. Still ache like hell but it tastes nice
  8. 2090kg surprised at the 3200kg gvw I thought they were 3500kg need to check on gtw
  9. It's new And the price has come in at under £30k for a single cab I just need to confirm some things on paperwork and conversion.
  10. Have just come off the phone with them. I think we could be pleasantly surprised at how much these are, they are going to send a rough quote over later via email, but they are talking around £30k with the RHD conversion plus VAT, at that price I will be buying one.
  11. RHD kit available as well Will call tomorrow, I expect it will be insanely high, but you never know.
  12. If need be would you be able to have a look ? I may be able to check them out another way as yet, I will make a call tomorrow.
  13. I was wondering if there was anyone in the Greenall’s Avenue, warrington, cheshire area could do a little checking up for me on a firm on the industrial estate there. Nothing sinister and won't take much time, I just need to know if they actually exist where they say they are, and what type of place it is. Please PM me if you can help. Happy to donate some beer tokens for your time.
  14. That doesn't look too healthy Make sure you replace the release fork with one of the strengthened ones whilst it's apart.
  15. Not all 130's are 3500kg, I have come across a couple at 3050kg
  16. My 130 which is 3500kg with ally dropside flat short body and ply floor striped right down only has a 1400kg payload, so you are going to be pretty close to max and that's before you even think about axle loads
  17. I'm sure it's an age thing, I have struggled with mojo for the last few years, things I used to love doing I just can't be arsed with anymore, it's not as bad as last year so hopefully it's going. Mid life crisis I think, along with burning ourselves out along the way.
  18. Ouch! For this week we have 78.28p on UK fuels and 81.58p from Fast fuels Definitely pays to have 2 or more cards, we find if we don't buy from one for a few weeks then they drop the prices more. Ian C makes a good point, our book keeper is far happier since we went over to cards.
  19. We have Uk fuels through a company called BWOC which we don't pay anything per month for, not that 65p is going to break the bank. We also have fast fuels and use whichever sends the cheapest offer on Friday afternoon for the next week. We don't use any supermarket fuels unless we get caught out and have no choice.
  20. I have +2" on the rear and standard on the front of my 130 and never had to alter the anti roll bar, you may be close to having the shocks at maximum travel though. If you can get away with standard do so, the ride empty with +2" HD terrafirma is horrendously hard.
  21. Just asked to view as it's just up the road "supposedly" Waiting for the usual "sorry I am away at the moment but it will be delivered" reply
  22. I thought I was going to have to give up a lot of what I do. I had a shoulder that I couldn't use properly, and a back that was screwed, I used to have to manipulate my way out of bed in the morning. I was recommended to a local Ostio, and I also have a trainer I started to use who knows the Ostio and when I started with him they discuss between them what I could and couldn't do, he has helped build the muscles back in my bad shoulder where the damage was. I still have to be careful and think before I do certain stuff but can now do pretty much everything I used to do. Money well spent, although it hasn't been cheap. Try find an Ostio with the longest waiting time, there are several at the place I go and I could see most in a couple of days or so, mine is generally 4 weeks unless its an emergency.
  23. I tow 3500kg all the time with my 300tdi and quite often with the landie at 3500kg aswell. I now have a VNT turbo and full width intercooler, and it tows very well, before they were fitted it struggled with both loaded but was fine with just the trailer at 3500kg. A worthwhile investment if you are going to be doing a lot of towing at 3500kg would be a full width intercooler imo
