  1. The local Agricultural people around here purchase wooden fencing posts from Poland and tractors from elsewhere abroad so cannot think the public will often purchase local produced milk. I know that "Milking" a herd is hard work and difficult to take breaks from the farm but it's market forces and few additional industries have so much funding from taxes like Agriculture. Should sell direct and produce ice cream.....
  2. Thats a nice U404S. Some still available as new in foreign forces auctions.
  3. The tail is prized in the bush and wash the meal down with some tinnies.
  4. History in the making!
  5. Is the machine road legal? Lights/Brakes/Wiper/Tax Disc/Insured for use on the public highway/Mirrors as original. Seen some machines being checked here and people told now need a lap belt and SMV triangle. You should also consider the total length of the towing vehicle and trailer.
  6. There are Austrian and Swedish firms who produce a fold up crane. I cannot remember the names. Google?
  7. The standard of chain bars is rubbish now. Paint wears off within hours and the metal wearing on heat areas is much worse then even 4 years ago. Spend too much time on maintenance! I would also be interested in a hard wearing logging bar. (Are the ones used with rescue carbide chain better?) Oregon and Husqvarna are made in the same place now? We used brushcutter bevel gears grease as it make the roller needles last longer.
  8. UPS are bad as failed to turn up and wasted time waiting. I find TNT and Parcel Force good.
  9. Used for installing underground cables and water pipes.
  10. Good tool but be careful in certain weather conditions. (Speaking from experience)
  11. Burn in stove with logs. Mulch with horse muck to make compost.
  12. I went to the international "HUBB" meeting in Ripley and Suzuki UK said can import them and have SVA done so am working out a trade price at present. http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb/
  13. Fast response from the Oregon people but don't export and used for christmas trees and brashing. The two original firms don't respond to E-mails.
  14. Time for police riot shin pads as seen in the local sales place.
  15. Common in German/Austria woodlands.
  16. Info on flights there and back would be useful. Singapore is a nice stop over!
  17. It's the small Muller logpick and had two of these for a long time.
  18. I should have sharpened the tip before use as worn but was rushing to do several vehicle loads before teatime. I was loading sawn slices into a wheelbarrow on Sunday afternoon and the Hookeroon/Sappie slid of the side instead of going into the wood and onto the lower left shin bone above the ankle. Good news is I was wearing rubber chainsaw boots and class "C" chainsaw trousers so no breaks but a large lump and bruise which is still sore this lunchtime. Hate to think if had been in normal work boots and trousers. Take care out there.
  19. Drugs (including booze/hash/coffee based drinks) are for leisure time to those who feel the need and out of work is personal time. Taking them all though working hours when using machines and climbing is foolish and must mean people work in bad places to feel the need to do so. In all the site I have worked have never seen people smoking hash. How could one manage to fell all those trees and do good paid piece work? Purchase of drugs is funding the Taliban!
  20. 6 bottles in each gallon and it is between 16% and 24% We don't drink much hence but are good at making from hedgerow fruits.
  21. Home | Woodcraft Folk
  22. Some are in long term studies but more so tropical hardwoods. There are good airpowered systems with batteries and helmets with full face protection and filter worn on the belt.
