  1. Thanks on that Link. Checked again last night in the pile and more pieces glowing. Tried to take picture but camara flashed. I gave some to Rodney and he going to investigate.
  2. Hello all. Last night I had some Willow kindling inside the cabin and when going to bed noticed several pieces glowing in the dark!! I checked with two additional people and both confirm real. Spoke to Rodney Helliwell and he thinks might be Honey Fungus? In 30 years tree work never seen / heard of this. Going to check wood pile again this evening. The tree had been in one length and down 12 months but showing little rotten areas.
  3. QUOTE=TRADITIONAL LOGGERS;1082086]Thanks. I think Volund have stopped production. I will check the retort but would think expensive. Needs to be moved between sites and simple without being stolen. £11.500 + vat for the one in Devon!!!! The other firm £17.000 + vat. Thats a long time to cover before kiln worn out. Looks like a traditional single ring kiln.
  4. Thanks. I think Volund have stopped production. I will check the retort but would think expensive. Needs to be moved between sites and simple without being stolen.
  5. Looking for someone who makes good portable Charcoal Kilns in Corten steel. (the firm which produced mine retired now) Thanks.
  6. I would use chain ratchets on slippery wood as normal ones loosen. Vehicles doing 20mph should have the large Orange Triangle (known as SMV) That does slow the public down. Make sure you can see behind in mirrors.
  7. Well the Birds are singing and warm sunshine. Spring is here with frosts at night.
  8. I have a vehicle and twin axle trailer on Arbtrader that will be of interest to someone. Hope OK to post that here. Thanks.
  9. 1.8 M High. Been to a place this afternoon. Cannot believe the so called trade prices but most seems to be grown in Holland now. Looking at a Galvanized mesh frame with Green Ivy instead so fence and screen.
  10. Blue Book is valid as is the card version. The same with driving licences.
  11. Must have done a double post being asleep and cannot combine both. Still need a hedge. Most places tried plants not high enough.
  12. VOSA do check how vehicles are registered and the fuel used in roadside checks. I will did out the paperwork but the Forestry and Farming organizations made a document in discussion with HMRC and it states 30 miles / 50 kilometers.
  13. Good Luck. Think the NHS should give humans a full MOT each 12 months to catch problems.
  14. Snow! Makes a nice change from months of horrible rain.
  15. Thanks. Yes and each council seems to have a different interpretation of the rules. Some planning consultants are previous heads of planning so check in local area. Often not what one knows but who one knows.
  16. Thanks. Think we might need to take a sample into planning meeting.
  17. Planning Aid can help. Check if the council has update policies like NPPF. FOI to see complete case file and who complained on what legal basis. Write to the council CE and involve the local media.
  18. Be careful working there in the tax system as a foreigner!!
  19. Still have an urgent need for the instant hedge as in a week's time the local council planning committee are going to decide on Tourism Lodges and claim wooden cabins are alien forms so have to be hidden all seasons. This is the same council who have voted over 12 months to use this site as a new Travellers base. Please look on Derbyshire Dales District Council website. Application 13/00838/FUL
  20. How much petrol does a machine use in ours hard work?
  21. Too much stealing causes long-term stress and those thieves deserve all received. This will become commonplace soon.
  22. Well having been offered numerous Brown horses now found a couple of young Roan Clydesdales but not old enough to do hard work and the prices are those of show one's. Difficult as people still calling wanting extraction work so life is chaos!
  23. Thanks all for support. Reminded all the time with special tools and equipment and people calling for work contracts using horses. We buried him in the fields he lived in as classed as PET not livestock like EU wanted to do. Been looking for a new Clyde this evening.
