  1. Start of the Cart. (This picture taken at sale site)
  2. Yes. I would never purchase one without now. Husqvarna need to bring them in to UK on new Clearing Saws like abroad!!
  3. Website and QR Code. Reflective material works well.
  4. So how much are the officials going to pay on each tail taken in? The vermin have eaten all the Hazels and ruined the Field Maples.
  5. Hope the man has recovered. On the news a man killed in Ireland from a fallen tree! In Derbyshire the trees alongside most main roads are in a shocking condition and often with Ivy burden. Motorcyclist killed down the road from here caused from large branch dropping. Told Severn Trent Water and TPO woman at DCC about dangerous trees but no action. Beeches dropping limbs often over the A6. I think councils ignore the issues as costs less than to maintain and hope no one claims in an accident/death. Just been to see an Elm and Sycamore blown down we told the people were risks last week.
  6. Purchased a single axle trailer chassis at an amazing price and going to make horse drawn tipping/removable bolsters cart with pictures to follow.
  7. Rough night with much debris from uncared roadside trees covered in Ivy. Now been sleeting.
  8. Feed merchants often do plain ones.
  9. As I understand from the article all Agricultural vehicles over a certain weight and speed will have to be tested and all trailers over 750KG unladen. Might be Agricultural places to do testing but no info on that.
  10. MOT's are due to be phased in on Agricultural/Forestry vehicles and towed vehicles as the weights and speeds are going to be increased soon.
  11. The 395XPG used to be sold in the UK and the 346XPG.
  12. Then please can we have heated handles on the new clearing saws like in Scandinavian countries!!!
  13. Most people purchase firewood as leisure use (not used to heat/cook on full time) so often shop around on price and purchase 1cm3 before the Christmas period. We convert thinnings now into alternative uses such as charcoal.
  14. We have had several problems in the past. These scum are often high on drugs and will do all possible to avoid being caught and going back to prison so don't care should you be hurt at all. Police are waste of time as take too long to turn up. (Government Funding Reductions) Insurance doesn't cover all the losses like people think. There are unusual methods to prevent thieves we have used with success some are legal some are not but stealing is ILLEGAL. Time to have all vans marked with a business licence plate (like taxis) to help prevent much of the crime. Take care!!
  15. The original reason of posting this (to prevent more needless deaths) seems to have been lost in a ramble about farming in general. Yes correct the vehicle was run into from behind in the dark/fog BUT the tractor was invisible as had NO lights, NO reflectors, NO numberplate and we think uninsured/untaxed. Thank goodness no one else killed!! A life wasted due to poor maintenance and vehicle condition. I have spoken to the man's friends and brother and told the tractor was like this for a long time and his Land Rover was also in a shocking condition (so an accident looking for somewhere to happen) Tractors and trailed vehicles should be in a road legal condition with no excuses on maintenance. There is going to be an investigation and looks like DVLA/VOSA/Police will be checking vehicles soon so be warned.
  16. A local man died last night when his tractor overturned on a public road and crashed. There too many people in rural work driving dangerous bad condition vehicles even off road. Not worth the risk! Make sure lights, brakes, seatbelts, wipers, steering, rollframe all in good condition. I know the vehicle involved :001_rolleyes:
  17. What are the professional organisations doing about this? AA/APF/FCA to name a few. Will the bulk trade price go down with more people purchasing?
  18. Used them on all saws. Great idea. Some of the new Husqvarna Clearing Saws have them abroad but not here!!
  19. In some European countries due to fuel abuse all diesel same colours and have to claim reduced tax back. Ironic HMRC chase on Red diesel and the same time charge illegal road fuel duties on Aspen 2 Takk / Sthil Motomix and the additional brands. We should all ask for taxes back as chainsaws do not drive on public roads.
  20. Several well know rogues operate in the area stealing chainsaws, chippers, machines. Check Dragon Driving website and the auctions and carboot sales at Derby Cattle Market.
  21. Thanks. We had a 3 Ratchet Ulvins arch. The wheels are too small in UK conditions could have done with trail bike size wheel. Is that forwarder with a floating beam axle designed to be pulled with an ATV? The Swedish firm on the links looks good but £8000 is .............. Think some ATV tyres and stub axles with a seat might be idea.
  22. Is there a current list of people that make some of these as we worn out the ones we purchased long time ago. Canada/Sweden might be a start and how about Poland? Lightweight and durable WITHOUT an engine crane.
