  1. As long as the oil and filters have been changed every 10 thou,it should be as good as gold.

  4. today even the trolley wouldnt get between the bungalow and a greenhouse,new it would be tight when i priced it.Brash had to be carried through at head height down the path to get it out.I was waiting all day for someone to tell me theyd broken a pane,but all ended ok.

  6. ITV2 are commisioning a new show this winter featuring elton john,steven fry,graham norton,and alan carr.I beleave its going to be called 'The Only Way Is Arse Sex. ( overheard by mrs oldwoodcutter at the w.i. meeting last night)
  7. when i come across one that wont split after a couple of taps i put it to one side,then slice it open with my saw with the other trouble makers at the end.

  11. After rigging that lot up,you'd have thought he'd have something there to pop his saw onto,instead of standing around holding it.
  12. You could go and see dereham firewood at scarning,when i went past his yard the other day he had a stack of cord the size of a small mountain.

Our youngest was born just as disposable nappies first came out in the 70s.I was left on my own 1 evening and had to change a smelly one with only 1 fresh 1 remaining in the bag.Got in a right old muddle with those sticky tab things and ended up going down to my workshop and fetching some insulation tape to fasten it all together.Mrs oldwoodcutter still brings it up in mixed company when feeling particularly beligerant.
  15. My stihl dealer advised against putting a hedger on the end of my ht101,as the reciprocating movement causes premature wear [he said]. I use a kombi unit with long reach trimmer and an extra 1 metre extension for clipping off those high whiskers.Prefer my tripod though,but you havnt always got the room to use it.Hope this helps.
  16. Yes,ide recommend a new england flip line,3 metre unless you're on trees of the big variety a lot then get a 5 metre.Mine is as flexable as i like,and have a isc grab by my right hand.
  17. Took my black lab poppy to be put to sleep on monday,she was 15. Mrs Oldwoodcutter says we're having no more.
  18. Took my grandson to the zoo today,there was only one animal in it - a small dog. It was a shihtzu.
  19. Yes,ide say they are very well built,i hire a 150 in a fair bit and my boys havnt broken anything yet, also a lot of brash goes through it but they havn't blocked it up once.I cant fault it.
  20. I can vouch for Spuds honesty and workmanship,he could well change that non runner into a reliable workhorse.

Maybe nothing to do with it but i was down the Pickenham road outside Swaffham 2 weeks ago.A transit stopped and a family of likely lads came too close for comfort to my pick up,i stopped the saw,told my chipper man to shut down then faced up to them.They said they'd come over to pick blackberrys.Gave them a small bit of advice and they cleared off.
  22. The 460 is one of the finest saws ive ever used.For the best of both worlds run it with a 25" bar,and keep an 18" bar and chain in your truck.Then you're ready for anything.
  23. Ive noticed they seem to prefer these drinks to bringing sandwiches,havn't noticed any visible signs of extra energy though.Keeps them upright most of the time leastways.
  24. Apart from admiring tommy's bench,was just looking at the boots - used to have a high pair like those a long time ago,handy when in snake or tick territory.
  25. The part i enjoy is the sound a cheque makes as the client tears it from his cheque book while ime standing with a wet shirt on his doorstep.
