  1. even googling td5 starter problems i cant escape arbtalk lol. Having starter problems with mine at the mo but only when its cold, it will attempt to start run poorly and then cut out but if i catch it give it some revs it then picks up and idles like normal. starts when warm or fine during the day (if been driven that day) only problems in the morning after a nights sleep. going to get the ecu read, but any help much appreciated
  2. working around boston in july time was surprisingly hot
  3. just dug out a few pics from last year stateside trip
  4. yeah did figure it would be hopeful, maybe they are saving it for the apf?
  5. Will the new husky top handle be available for purchase by then?
  6. sorry i know what you mean they have a lower rpm but i meant they dont have a crap chain speed because as you said its all down to torque. Am i making sense? sorry its wednesday wine night for me
  7. how do they have crap chain speed? had more experience with the 3120 but at that range of saw they are both going to be plodders not built for speed just not losing pace when filled with shavings. a friend raced a 3120 against 395 and 3120 won. they dont sound or feel fast but then you look at the mound of shavings by your feet. both heavy but both fun imo
  8. beat me to it chris, still a heavy lump but once its in the slot for the top link its relatively easy and can be done by one person
  9. Dunkertons do some good stuff always pop by when taking a trip to eardisland although enjoy some local hampshire cider from mr whiteheads Mr. Whiteheads Cider Company in Hampshire cornish rattler has messed me up in the passed though
  10. I had heater problems once so stripped it down only to find there was no fan within the heater set up which does tend to play a key part in the heat blowing process lol, on a different landy i had a raised air intake in to the heater blower to get the heat forced through as the fan was not up to much also with he same adjustments as tom said and worked a treat (by treat i mean having to only wear a jumper instead of a jacket too lol)
  11. I heard they were in testing but not yet released, must be a demo:scared:
  12. Love the harness, what make is it? looks very lightweight?
  13. Yeah i meant long hauls, i really should get down with some srt action this would prob be more appropriate
  14. hmmm think i will just man up then lol
  15. Any good with a throwline? would be wicked to get a shot of the throwline going over a branch in slow mo or something? i just thought of it as someone else has a competition vid everything except throwlining now that would be cool
  16. Yeah i use a pantin but find my other hand and non aching leg feel vacant, might have to have a play
  17. When using a hitch climber i used to clip the hitchclimber higher up on the spliced eye (about a foot) for long ascents, know what i mean.....? Can the same thing be done with an sj and so you could then use an ascender and pantin set up but problem being having it too high and not being able to reach it to unclip into regular work position. make sense?
  18. thats some extreme log splitting dadio haha nice vid
  19. This is not helping me resist getting my tweaked, a friend is getting a stage to remap and intercooler upgrade from irb developments. will have to see what his is like and then will swiftly part cash lol
  20. I attended the 3 day preparation course with tree life which is very worth while and if its going may even try and attend for just the failed exercise. Im annoyed at myself really as intended to try a shadow some surveyors regarding this subject to at least have an idea but i think even with experience the task felt like it would have been difficult. Going to spend the year gaining plenty of experience and keep upto date with my current knowledge. We shouldn't be bummed out about failing some of these units, we have come a long way to get this far and worked hard. I think the management exercise will be running for a few more years yet (hopefully)
  21. I have to admit that when i first heard about it i thought it was not true and tried to search as i thought these things are usually in the media but on hearing from someone else i do believe it now. In the states i believe that the chippers in use are not older the just dont have the safety features that we require to the certain standard in the uk. Sometimes people buying chippers from the states do have to modify some parts to allow them to be "legal" over here
  22. Well considering i heard it off two people whom have no contact or relation to one another gave the same details about it and the same company name, i think it may well have happened
