  1. Yeah i did find myself starting slow and then getting into my stride so to speak. I see you guys start with your starting leg high on the pole i think this could help for a good powerful start but im always paranoid of it slipping when i go to push off, i will give it a try at the next comp.   3. I know a lot is down to technique but does anyone have any training that they do? Apart from the elite where 10 second times seem to be best done the day after a night out haha Cheers

  5. Thanks was just curious about the pricing, using the kit is a godsend i work for a bloke who has tractor and timber crane and its suprisng where you can get it when you dont want to lift anything haha. Thanks for the head cam might treat myself to one just not sure which
  6. Really good vid, not asking for a price but was there a great difference in price from say yourself with or without the crane or did anyone else price without a crane and how did they compare? nice to see they must have been a realistic customer though. also what helmet cam is that?

  9. Was a great day friday i hope your spikes held together for the rest of the weekend ian and you got the times you were after. Also to let you all know my best man speech went down well and i got a gift from the groom (a fellow tree worker) a spiderjack which was wicked going to give it a go this afternoon i reckon
  10. How about doing some sums and seeing what you could get of areas of high yield but other areas of poor quality and poor access charge them, as has been mentioned they are getting a grant for a reason
  11. I have to admit would rather be on spikes than taking out a top that size with the mewp that close but im sure you saw it different when on the site

  14. I guess its too small a show to get some poleclimbing going on but as an annual show would be a possible investment with opportunity to demo pole rescues when there is no racing?
  15. It was a good crack, first time i done a tree climb comp. Does anyone know if someone got the log in the bucket? was a difficult throw a nice climb though
  16. Awesome event hadn't planned on entering put i broke under pier pressure and entered on the day.Was such a good crack you will be seeing me at fr jones show for sure. Thanks for organising.
  17. Last AA show i went to was back when it was at highclere castle so a good few years back. I only really went to watch my bro and some friends enter the climbing comp on the saturday. Was really glad i went good to meet up with old friends see some kit and i even ended up entering the comp (i was the one with the gamekeeper/farmer look) and now im going to definitely be entering at the fr jones show. A really good gathering will have to make it a two dayer next time. Oh and treated myself to a pantin, ascender and cambium retreaval jobbie. Cheers organisers

  23. Yes thats right alan is a great guy hope his skydiving course went well. Fairplay on you for doing extra at the weekend too, you have made a good choice with the vermeer i love their chippers. lets see some pics in action
