  1. The face i mean is called the green man
  2. Well not sure just yet one idea was (ok bear with my poor explanation) its an image of like an old mans face surrounded by leaves and ivy. Someone has a similar picture as their avatar i cant remember what it all symbolizes. Another idea was either someone poleclimbing or footlocking up the a calf (my leg not a baby cow), a bit sad but i reckon could be done really well
  3. Im getting tattoo cravings as i had this done a few years ago, took me ages to decide what i wanted. Kind of got the idea from a friend and the elms down southsea common in portsmouth hence the wind swept look about it.
  4. i have the stanley flask lunch box combo is pretty good Stanley Classic 6.6L Lunchbox & 1.0L Vacuum Flask Combo, 10-00725-002, Aladdin Lunchboxes
  5. i know we are talking of self employed but minimum wage only works out to be about £52 a day
  6. Klaymeb??
  7. There was another girl on here cant remember her name but used to do a fair bit of carving
  8. I know what you mean there tommer i have gone out a few times on a hill walking afternoon only to realize i have put the wrong harness on . Like some leg loop harness they can pinch and the pain sometimes enhanced by the chunky leather loops, i have to admit i have gone for a tree magic currently as felt a change but find the side d rings not quite so comfy.
  9. If you can try before you buy i would definitely try the leg looped weaver as its good for when you need to spread the legs a little, i found the seat would hurt my hips and you just cant get any stretch with your legs. Weaver is king of back support in my opinion love it on a set of spikes.
  10. I will try and make the three counties for a day but wales woodfest is a long way to go for a day, looking hopeful for royal welsh too. Its definitely about beating your personal best although my competitiveness does have a look over to see how the other guy or gal is doing. Like they have said i dont think you need practice as such maybe some form of fitness training may help as my arms certainly felt it although it was cold. Also a good bunch even when they were sniggering when i opted to use a steel strop flipline (turns out they use those homemade ones for a reason). Still a good giggle just looking to beat my time too
  11. My first go was at the apf (choose a nice small show to start, that was the plan). Had a great time and thought this year im going to have a real good go. Ian i do have one issue well two infact could you arrange for two of my friends to move their weddings from the weekend of wales woodfest and the three counties. of all the weekends they chose what are the chances. Much appreciated

  16. These are on the hampshire/berkshire border chainsaw training, woodchipper training, tree felling training, uk
  17. Im going as a seller with a group of mates in his forward control turns a few heads with its stainless steel stacker.
  18. Yeah its quite a mettalic sounding noise its where the plastic wears away like i say im no expert, im a landrover man in which case it would be either engine or gearbox
  19. on some nissan navaras there is a nasty noise on full lock this is sometimes where there is a plastic capping on a nut that effectively dictates how much full lock you have (hope it makes sense) i think the problem is solved with new plastic jobs. Possibly similar to ford??
  20. A friend of mine has some oak for sale i dont have pictures but if you really want some i can arrange something for tomorrow evening, 1 piece measures about 120dbh at the centre and 8ft long so a sizeable lump, there are also about 9 stems 12-15 ft from at least 40cm diameter to 70cm. There is a possiblilty of more to come that would be good for milling but the seller wants to sell as a job lot, sorry for being vague will get better measurements tomorrow. If interested contact andrew on 07748854549
  21. sorry to hear that but what area was it stolen in?
  22. Ok so hope this has not already been started so wanting to see some random old and new cable bracing. This weekend has felt a bit tense on here and i wanted to show off this old beech and im sure you have got some good cable bracing pics. Enjoy
  23. Thanks for the replys guys the overdrive unit is pricey but when fuel is kicking around £1.40 a litre and i have managed over 2000miles in 5 weeks the benefits will happen quicker. Its only a 90 so weight is not an issue and i find the td5 quite good can cruise around 30mph in 5th and will pull away happily (bearing in mind i had a 300tdi that turned out had a hole in the intercooler that i didn't notice whoops). i prefer the idea of the overdrive as i can select or deselect the gear mostly going to be used at cruising at motorway speeds although as someone mentioned i could just see myself driving faster. Will be fiiting 235/85 next week and see how that works out thanks again for your input though guys
  24. Hi all im interested in having an overdrive fitted to my td5 and most likely going for the roverdrive. So interested in opinions etc. What with the price of fuel i think its going to be the right move with the efficiency but also useful for towing although im quite pleased with the td5. Anyway enough ramblings and thanks in advance
  25. something you may well have tried is there any lever from the spool valve block that has to be depressed whilst holding the lever for the legs?
