  1. Great machine in my eyes whatch out for overheating although they tend to turn themselves off when they do. nothing a blower over the rad wont sort out. Are you going out on your own i thought your were employed my a local highway maintenance company (wont say the name) unless you would rather not discuss?

  3. Just pm you as your trailer is prob a little big for this job but nice set up and handy to know in the future
  4. We might be doing the work on tuesday or wednesday and there is prob a couple of ifor williams loads of wood just would save us carting it back to basingstoke
  5. Felling an elm in wantage hopefully this week so any useful tip sites in the area would be great. It will be wood chip and possibly timber any help much appreciated. I have also put up a thread if anyone is just interested in the wood cheers for any help.

  7. I have travelled from basingstoke to cirencester about hour and 45 only three days and also basingstoke to welwyn garden city which was only a day. I dont mind these on occasions as you got to go where the money is but if it was more regular then a more fuel efficient motor would be an idea, i love the landy but a mileage machine it is not

  13. By the bridge on the main road opposite the dove cote there are three little cottages, its the one at the back with a garden that has the river either side. Its a great little village been going up there years as they used to own one of the front cottages called riverside i think, sorry for the derail by the way
  14. Was starting to get concerned seeing all those stihls in the woods and then to my relief the huskys came out. Nice area flaming ace im up to eardisland in july as family own a holiday cottage, do you live their or just the general area?

  18. Especially with some recent threads wanting climbers at short notice this would help them by having instant access to local guys within their area
  19. I think the added value would be potentially more work as potential employers could just find someone in their area instead of trawling through threads. I would be interested in this idea.

    Lichens

    I was looking at some images of lichens and noticed this one Fuscidea lightfootii (no i didn't google my name). Im well chuffed my name is actually not looking to bad now.
  21. best thing is to have a go fella, there was a girl at the apf who i believe works for forestry journal and she had a go having never tried it and she got to the top. Fair play to her trying at one of the biggest shows of the year. Its all good fun and people will help you out, you may surprise yourself

  24. Think log dog is right if you give them something to pull you for they will try and find something. Overloaded may void insurance meaning driving with no insurance plus fine plus i possibly impounding vehicle plus driving without correct license a few points and fines can add up

Like i said rosey im not out to criticize every photo out there we have all been caught with visor up etc. I had a short stint in the states and i know if i post the photos up then i would get a right old ball bashing, only my point is that its a publication aimed at the professional side. I dont mean to sound like a hse snitch
