  1. This happens more than you think , I don't think people's common sense will ever cease to amaze me.
  2. I've got an old Norwood that does the job , this looks like a rolls Royce in comparison ! Would love to retro fit those dogs.
  3. There I was hoping this thread had died...
  4. I had to take mine off for other reasons like making it easy to identify which ones which ! ....I must be a bit special as I filled up 3 saws with oil in a few weeks some thing I've never done with the stihl can.
  5. You need a Portawrap ??
  6. They are not as good as the faltimer but at a third you can't go wrong the price they are my second choice for storing line, definitely worth it although they are tricky to open.. I have to stand on the corners of mine and twist out unlike the faltimer that you just flick out holding the top and it opens out.
  7. Depends on how much you use it
  8. Yale xtc or Samson arbormaster would be my choices.
  9. Pfanner are the most comfy.. worth the money when you consider how much time is spent in them and I like the tick guards.

  11. Sorry mate, done a deal already.
  12. Ok joe , I'd floss and flo that mofo and have her down by 1 judging from the last pic .... From the first pic you would possibly stepping off your spikes from the stem in agony after disking down with the 88 at around 5pm leaving an almighty pile of shite to clear up over the next week.... It does look a day for three people's is my final answer but I'd price it at a day and a half just incase the wind makes rigging and clearing up a nightmare.
  13. I'd stunt fell it through the gap and be away in an hour with a tractor load of timber and tranny of chip ... Seriously it looks a different tree from every photo and I would never quote by photos so it's pointless entering this discussion really.
  14. We have this for sale nr Wark. Pm me for more details if your interested.
  15. It's a good tool and got me in to SRT but my ascenders and tethers are set to the perfect length for the WR so it's a pita to change them to match the HH ,a spare zk2 would be more handy than having the HH kicking around in my bag.
  16. Sorry to hear this , I hope it turns up can't be many around.
  17. Any body want to swap a rope wrench 2 for a hitch hiker?
  18. Have never had a rigging crab cross load, any big bits and a half hitch goes in front, there is a time and place for slings but tip roping the back bone looks a heavy faff to pull through and around a canopy, a rigging line with a crab can be bad enough... It looks useful for balance rigging though ,but a rigging plate or figure of 8 are probably easier and lighter imo.
  19. Yeah it's a big dirty score nearly all gone now,There's a few tiny lines I can't get out but I only have 240 and up in wet n dry so might try and get some brick acid and 100grit unless you would be happy to put a new piston in going by the last photo with those lumps just below the exhaust port?
  20. Ok couple more questions mate how long would you leave it with caustic , tried battery acid and there is a few bits that seem welded just below the exhaust port
  21. Cool cheers Steve ,It's off a husky 240r brush cutter , was straight gassed I think ! I'll do that and chuck in a Meteor piston and see what happens.
  22. Do you recon this cylinder is salvageable Steve??
  23. Minimum I would put on a mill for ripping would be 70 cc ..so a husky 365 ?? I'm pretty sure you would cook most small saws quite fast imo.
  24. Cocoon , I think it does not jam as much although others may disagree but climbed on a standard for years and got the cocoon last year that's my experience.
  25. I don't think it's steep compared to buying in chip wood at all .. We are selling chip wood at £30 tonne road side out the woods.
