It's a good tool and got me in to SRT but my ascenders and tethers are set to the perfect length for the WR so it's a pita to change them to match the HH ,a spare zk2 would be more handy than having the HH kicking around in my bag.

Have never had a rigging crab cross load, any big bits and a half hitch goes in front, there is a time and place for slings but tip roping the back bone looks a heavy faff to pull through and around a canopy, a rigging line with a crab can be bad enough... It looks useful for balance rigging though ,but a rigging plate or figure of 8 are probably easier and lighter imo.

Yeah it's a big dirty score nearly all gone now,There's a few tiny lines I can't get out but I only have 240 and up in wet n dry so might try and get some brick acid and 100grit unless you would be happy to put a new piston in going by the last photo with those lumps just below the exhaust port?

Ok couple more questions mate how long would you leave it with caustic , tried battery acid and there is a few bits that seem welded just below the exhaust port

Cool cheers Steve ,It's off a husky 240r brush cutter , was straight gassed I think ! I'll do that and chuck in a Meteor piston and see what happens.

Minimum I would put on a mill for ripping would be 70 cc ..so a husky 365 ?? I'm pretty sure you would cook most small saws quite fast imo.

Cocoon , I think it does not jam as much although others may disagree but climbed on a standard for years and got the cocoon last year that's my experience.

I don't think it's steep compared to buying in chip wood at all .. We are selling chip wood at £30 tonne road side out the woods.

I was tempted as it went through a period of doing it twice a day at times but then it sorted it self out maybe because of the thinner oil.. Currently the one I'm using has ran with out any oil problems but I've heard it's not un common.

Did you try rinsing the oil reservoir with petrol then filling up with petrol after then start the saw reving it up with out bar on until you see it come out the oil hole? If it's not coming out after that it must be shot mate. Re the oil it seemed to work fine , 150 bars wear very quick though from my experience.

I used to 50/50 mix bio with rape seed oil in the last 6 months of owning it to bring the cost of running bio oil down but still having some tacking agent for the bigger saws bars , I don't think I had any oil problems on the 150 until it got stolen thinking about it.

You should be able to use any oil as long as it's not a mix of the two.. I found my first 150 would regularly stop oiling and you would have to flush the tank with petrol and run it up until it pumped petrol through then it would be fine for a week or two.. How old is the saw?

Is that your mod on the 395 exhaust Steve?? I found after you did the timing mod that really gave it a kick to get the best out the port work.

Depends how much you need it , I run a hobbs type device and find it more than adequate for pretensioning and lifting when needed ,the stein looks good I've only seen it briefly working with reg's demo's at the APF and its lifting ability was impressive ,it was fast lifting on short lifts and imagine would do the job of pretensioning well but obviously it's sacrificed by having to reset the pull on long lifts... Grcs is the Rolls Royce and comes with the price tag. Carbon geckos for me, never tried the kiwis though.

I have seen plenty of young infected trees and newly planted trees with it but nothing with my own eyes or in photos of it on British mature trees... Maybe this too me seems because infected trees came as already infected root stock from non british seed banks and nurseries and possibly our native trees are immune. I would also think that possibly because of its presence on the continent long ago and the traffic of large lorries with there possibility of spreading spores very quickly across the Chanel the disease would of showed up on mass at the same time as it did on the continent so I'm living in great hope our native trees have a higher immunity to the disease... Still I would love to see pics of british mature ash with the disease, I thought I had come across it a number of times in the past but was proven wrong.

Unfortunately the problem lies in what people see or deal with first hand ,the worse violence and crimes varying from drug dealing to theft seem to be carried out by ... At best can be described as ethnic minority's so you can't really blame people for having an opinion... I read an interesting article about an Iranian doctor who's daughter was beside her self that he voted for ukip because as a doctor in a hospital he could see first hand health tourism and was disgusted the way other migrants came to the UK and refused to integrate in to our society which was some thing he made very clear bringing his children up was important, I think he had some very valid points.

Maybe the polish guys dad flew fighters in 303 squadron in the Battle of Britain or helped take Tobruk or monte Cassino , close the falais pocket or was dropped in operation market garden and felt some loyalty to help his british cousins because they all would not be a free country to vote in today with out the past efforts of his fellow country men.

Deafening .... Really I don't think they are that bad compared to some exhaust mods heard but you can tell it's been done , but the typical 560 loud high pitch note in the high revs almost stays the same I think.

Nice work.. Will be interesting to see what the first tree does over the next few years.
