  3. Who sells pro jonsereds in the UK ? I have seen only home owner jreds for the last few years.
  4. Nice trick with the slings on the hinge end of the tip roping. From what I've seen of it jay you need a whole new 3001.
  5. I'd try and not put any TIP on the limb used as an anchor for the speed line for sure,Unless it was small....in all honesty though I've never lost a line anchor definitely back them up if it needs to be high with few half hitches and run the line down until you can tie it off on suitable substantial timber.
  6. Cheers pete. The zip line consisted of a 16 mm double braid rope on to a hobbs type device for tensioning as a main line the pulley is a large ISC swing cheek going on to a medium rigging plate with an old hank of 13mm line for retrieves and braking that can run through a porta wrap if needed this is secured to the back of the rigging plate and through a dmm block. It was quite handy on that job as you could line up three -four limbs with slings on the rigging plate and send them all down once the last one was cut off releasing them all unfortunately the footage was unusable from knocking the camera well out!
  7. Finally got round to going through the camera and editing some thing together longer than a 15 sec Instagram clip I'm still learning to turn it on when working and charging battery's helps! [ame] [/ame]
  8. Bag of smack and a couple of special brews in a carrier bag doing epicormic removal on limes in town after a festival. A U.S. Service mans ID.

    Dead oak

£50 as it is but if it's sound and you are only going to know by cutting it off the root ball £100-£200.
  12. Was waiting for that Jonny ,kubota rab. You fancy a Easter brake on the boarders Steve ?
  13. It crossed my mind... Thing is when it's running its same as usual spot on... I think scott may have the solution.
  14. I'd drop it up the lawn !!
  15. Some times when it's been sat but I think it's because it's been driven down forest that it's moved some thing that it goes again I've checked the wires to the relay and they seem fine and it's clicking with the ignition .... It has not shut itself off down at all though only when we have turned the key off it then won't start.
  16. That did cross my mind but it's bloody freezing and it appears not to have used any water or boiled up, can you over ride any switches if this is the case?
  17. Any one help with a troublesome tw 150 . Machine turns over fine and seems to be sending fuel from the second filter , none appeared to be coming out of the injectors when cranking the engine over so I've changed the relay for the fuel pump it started but only now when it feels like it, when it does start it will run fine but it's more than likely it won't start especially when warm ... Any ideas?
  18. That's a cool pic Darrin

Different crank and case though stubby... I did try infact I have a spare 562 crank case but no 562 crank which is longer. You might as well just put a 3/8 sprocket on a 560 unless you really want to use the larger mount bars it's the only difference really in the saws apart from a bigger air filter.

Not unless you import one I'm afraid.

    550xpg

Thought the same 4-5 tanks of fuel through it and I really started to like it.
  22. Capstan Is harder to use , I've watched groundies struggle and some get rigging a capstan wrong resulting in lines locking off or virtually falling off... You can't go wrong with a fixed bollard or floating one like the rc1000 as james said they are fool proof.
  23. If you do go the rod brace route I would suggest two braces. Don't drill them out at the same time though. After winching it up I have always found with rod bracing the worse bit was getting the holes lined up with the rod and they do dramatically close the gap when they are finally tightened.
  24. So it's the limb on the left? I would keep the reduction localised to it .. Also bear in mind it might not possibly survive as the split could of stopped the tree from being able to support and function the whole of the leaf area of that limb. Saying that it does not look like removing the limb entirely would look that bad either.
