  1. Cool , Will look in to it then when I take it in and see if they can do it under warranty ...if they have any one capable of fixing it!
  2. Is the auto tune that poor on the 576 you would recommend converting it to standard saw ?
  3. Can you reset the auto tune at all on the 576? I've tried what usually works with my other 5 series saws leave it cutting flat out for 3-4 mins and it seems to have made the problem worse ! In fact I doubt you could get it too cut one ring in timber ! It starts up and revs but just won't do any thing under load.
  4. 576 has been acting up for last few weeks like it's over fuelling , today it's sluggishness and Incessant stalling really started to get to me so checked the plug and it was black ! Changed plug just to see difference and saw after a few cuts was just bogging down and stalling worse than ever and plug was white!! Now the saw I recon has done around 5 hours and is a few months old the dealer I brought it from has lost all his saw technicians so I would like to go in with some idea of what the problem is and get it fixed ASAP any body else had 576 problems or an idea of what this could be ?
  5. Just dropping it on the strop is enough to bend it... I recon some springs are thinner than others as well.
  6. Is that the new updated spring ??? The design is total crap though I can't believe with the time spent in development they got it so wrong ! it really lets down what other wise would of been a good saw.. I must of gone through 10 or more rear AV springs in the time I've had mine ,luckily not doing any major damage.
  7. Looks like eucalyptus to me..... I'd put a tenner on it
  8. Love to see a trees history, thanks for sharing.
  9. No mark can't see it.. Use fishermans any way!!

    Saw blades

Interesting ..as I just put a bluntish woodmizer blade on and it was cutting better than the ones I brought last after they had cut a few logs , think I will try the wood mizer blades then.

    Saw blades

Mostly cutting seasoned soft and wet hard at the minute not getting good life out of current blades that are diving and stretching quick as well....
  14. Any recommendations or links on a good all round blades for bandsaw mills ?
  15. Great work Ty .
  16. Durability ,power , low weight and good anti vibes no one seems to have this right!
  17. 560 is running a beast now it's run in Steve with enough compression to wreck the starter pull housing on it as it's just done. Just changed the bottom carb mount as there was possibly a slight air leak and I think potentially another identified , 560 is a pita to strip but I think I could do it blind folded now !! but I would like to give your 357 another run ! Its handling a 8 pin 15" 3/8 with total authority ... I'm gonna drop my 576 at the dealers for a check up as I'm convinced it's over fuelling ... Or it's just a dog in comparison to the 560's if it's the latter you fancy having a go on that as it needs a bit of livening up ?
  18. Of course Dave there is nothing wrong with that until it brings in more legislation in training, pushes insurance up and more legislation in the work place which then effects us trying to be in business... Every other week I'm reading reports about accidents in Arb and they appear to be nearly all by apparent experts who are gardeners !!
  19. Jack of all master of none.... From personal experience they should not get involved because the work is often carried out to a poor standard and dangerously, put the ladders down eggs.
  20. I really don't know how any one can say the state of the industry is good when prices for a team of blokes have gone down and not up in 15 years and with the price of training insurance ect the golden days of tree work have long gone it appears to be a long hard slog with not much light at the end of the tunnel...... Just to cheer you all up!! .... Forestry is no better either despite there been more demand for biomass timber than ever the price per tonne in retro spect to living has not changed.
  21. Hope you have a speedy recovery mate.
  22. Thanks stu I will check him out , I've tried to watch a few u tube vids being a complete noob and only found a few educational !! Quick ash type platter /bowl that came off a small burr just finished from this morning, any constructive advice much welcome... Now it's stopped raining should get back out side !
  23. Great thanks , I'll look in to one of these I don't think the guy was in a rush but I've only just started turning stuff that I've been saving as its dry now.
  24. I would of rather he put the whole thing on one of the fire wood loads we just brought off him.. Would of rather of seen it on my mill! Luckily I did find what I think is the dead top off that tree and mill it when we moved one of the loads.
