  1. Westcon equipment used to be spot on for getting any gravely parts I wanted a few years back.
  2. That's a few ! Quality there Mr Bullman.
  3. How do you find the BDB on long limb walks Adam if your not using a redirect or can't ,I've found the wrench kind of gets a lot more friction the more of an angle you get towards the end of the limb but not to the point it is a problem the HH was worse so what I'm trying to say is the BDB more free flowing overall?or is it so free flowing it becomes frustrating whilst trying to reduce high points as it's always pulling the rope tight and holding you back like I've found most mechanic devices do I've tried dirt ? Also do you find it easy for big swings when needed and not free falling !! , these are two things that concern me on a mechanical device but I got to say I've only tried a rope runner and I was not an SRT convert at that time but it felt very alien or would you just get one next pay time ?
  4. Quality work there Sam , really enjoyed watching that. Had the whole limb disappeared from the pulled cable or had it just pulled the screw eye ??
  5. Yep looks very valuable indeed that timber mark 😆 Nice crane work paddy.
  6. No darrin have not found the big saws a problem to be honest, I had 2 groundiess this morning and 3 yesterday basically we tag lined the timber off the back of the Forwarding trailer with a block and 4x4 to make life easy so it could pick up the lumps and save on cutting, worked well
  7. Rob D Mate , it's a nice bar on 404 skip chain as long as you let the dawgs do the work ... Just realised how many times I put "this" in that post as well,I blame that 88!!
  8. Finished off this dismantling this storm damage oak this morning , no drop zone and all had to be rigged but good fun!
  9. I would not let it bother you that is just arborsite, I would not even waste my time trying to make the effort of typing to contribute to that forum.
  10. Nice work work , drone footage made the vid.
  11. I've actually seen a tree split and crack up the gobs when a climbers done and climbed above it ...after breaking his leg after a rigging mishap with Russian vine then refusing to levitate it and go out stump grinding instead got gangrene lost most of his leg muscle and could not wear spikes this was his answer and one day the tree actually split up the gobs was gnarly watching him trying to get off !! Bad idea IMO !!
  12. I was taught in college below years ago with the idea being on a violent snatch you could get flicked off the stem , in 20 years I've never burnt a rope or pinched one in a topping strop/rigging block so will Continue to do it this way although I did do it above in a nptc refresher last week when the examiner asked to see another snatch I knew immediately why. I also like the idea of my ropes being further away from the block whilst cutting.
  13. What's the build quality like on the Taj ? It's a lot of machine for the money there's got to be a catch !!
  14. Have come across quite a few TPOed trees that have been drilled and you can usually see quite clearly it is a drill plus it never seems to kill the tree out right.
  15. Best hitch cord IMO is 8mm armour prus but it's not been available for a while, honeys did have some thing similar but can't see it on there web site... I do like therma shield but it's expensive, roblon and liros are nice but don't last to long on a VT set up.... Any 8mm will do though.
  16. Aye we are all exports behind are key boards , I would of been screaming blue to back off and been unable to show the footage if it was mine!! Thanks for sharing 🍻
  17. Hey patty, Like wise without trying to be picky or pedantic and pick holes mate I just find it a scary thought if some one watched this and tried it on a 60 meter crane ... Lol I would of cut them like you did at 48 most of those picks looked pretty hairy, for the sake of you and the crane I don't think the gob cuts did anything but give it more swing , hinges don't really work with cranes it's more about picking bits off. Maybe it's the reach or the crane operator but they looked well to under tension hence the swing, maybe picking them off the deck would of been more suitable or a small porta wrap set with block or rigging rings up the tree so you can control the bit until it's settled once it's been picked on a short rope.. Never had to try that though but it maybe might minimise the swing.
  18. I was gonna ask the same question like you wanna be really care full shock loading a crane !! Felling on to slings and picking up is good but I would not of been happy at all with most those cuts for picking bits off... Nice rig 😀
  19. Ok ... The shooting of dog foxes that control territory is not a good thing an experienced keeper in his 80's and had run shoots all his life told me that , I used to shoot for him and he told me that If you shot a dog fox expect to stay up for the next 3 nights with your rifle and for the ones that come in that are probably weak mangy and desperate for food to try and take its territory and do cause mayhem in release pens... I know another keeper who shot 60 over two days when some one shot his Alsatian sized dog fox.. Any way your land ,your shoots guys but I would rather nature control its predators or the hounds pick off the weak than just shooting them for the sake of it. I'll stop with my unwanted opinion now as the reality is I'm no expert and don't know the underlying problems you could have , looked a good bag of rabbits though, pretty dry around here of them.
  20. With all due respect you want to solve a rabbit problem and you shoot one of its only predators I'm confused ?
  21. That surprised me rob ,I've found one of its best uses was carrying Alaskan milled boards and lumps of timber to mill later. Still need some side extension poles if any of the Stein dealers can get them ??

Yes but if police cars are fitted with plate recognition that automatically tells them it has no tax or mot surely the cars fitted with this can just drive around doing there business as usual that is what they had all this equipment fitted for in the first place with out the need to launch an operation costing thousands and causing traffic issues.

I don't get when every thing is registered online for mot and tax why can't they just visit every person at there home and fine them. Herts and Essex police have one of the biggest problems in the country with theft why didn't they put that money in surveillance or the raiding of certain sites instead of being the mass business the police are now becoming making money from fining people who don't have there safety belt or Nearly worn tyre, it's a joke.
  24. If you flick the line to say get it over some small branches in the way of your route or coming back through it will come undone though ??
  25. I've heard it won't be at least until next year.
