  1. Employ common sense. Cut branch with saw & earn money
  2. The Hitch Hiker is the way forward if you want to go SRT. It is simple & effective
  3. Good job. Did you back it up with a couple of wedges? Be nasty if you popped a seal mid fell.
  4. Would be a cool day out
  5. To my knowledge the HSE can stop work with a climbing saw if the operator is not qualified (or suitably supervised) Surely for those who complain about unqualified competition this is a good thing?
  6. He only weighs about 55kg - keeps me looking slim
  7. Those dogs look like they were put on a boil wash & shrunk
  8. That's the replacement for those with a single figure IQ . Where stocks them, I'm gonna treat Andy Collins to some
  9. I never use the lever unless working single line. I use 10mm & it does function well
  10. That ruined my evening, so I signed it
  11. Me too. Too much haste is often an issue. I try & be gentle on a chain brake (when I do use it - I do try) so when I need it to work it does
  12. Cleared cache & problem seems fixed
  13. When I use the unread posts button, it loads & then constantly reloads the page I'm on chrome & windows 7
  14. I love my hitch hiker & hate climbing srt. Bit of string & a pulley or a bit of ART gear & enjoy the 2 to 1 advantage......
  15. The stetson is a hard-hat (of sorts). Big trees - nice job by Rog & crew
  16. NGK - I class them as an item to be replaced frequently. It is my first action for a troublesome saw. We are, however, having more issues with the top coming off so I am looking at other options at the moment
  17. 20k if you want the top drawer
  18. I like synthetic - easy to handle, light & even floats. Super strong but obviously not as abrasion resistant. Decision down to frequency of use & care
  19. Timberwolf still sell flawed chippers. There reluctance to fix the rotar bearing issue - only saying that they should be replaced frequently at the owners cost in both downtime & hard cash, shows a non progressive & a refusal to fix what customers request. They did produce good chippers.......
  20. I have had one for over a year now. Very impressed as it performs consistently & kicks out far more heat than you imagine
  21. The issue of updates will only be relevant post accident or incident. The investigators (either insurance , HSE or both) will have plenty to say if they are not in place. It can easily be done by either a days training or achievement of further units. Not bad every 5 years compared to a lot of industries
  22. The old VW at Castlemorton, hope you weren't the one with the deep cut on the foot...that was messy for me, and I was quite battle hardened by then:001_smile: Nice derail... Was one of the few not at castlemorton:lol:. Nice old vdub
  23. Hope it works for you
  24. Nice Steve, great to see contented dogs
  25. Loving it today. Cold clear & sunny
