  1. Is he qualified & experienced as required?
  2. If you are qualified & experienced, then yes, but you must prove that your decisions are without "fear or "favour" I.e. you must prove you are impartial & there is no motive (financial for example) effecting your judgement
  3. I remember reading Carlos Castineda, Robert Anton Wilson etc @ the age of 20 - was a struggle but have manage to grow up - a little bit at least
  4. Thanks _ i will try them
  5. Anyone sell Pacific Kevlar climbing helmet in the UK? Pacific Kevlar Climbing Helmets
  6. 2 things to remember - It's all in the detail & concentrate on what your doing, not where you are doing it!!
  7. Vertex is a good starting point. Not too expensive & durable
  8. DIY or flea bay ?
  9. How big? What species? How long dead? How strong is the attachment ? The list of criteria is too long & a question I fear even google cannot provide the answer too. The answer is yes & no !
  10. Not to have a go at Drew, as he understands (it is an easy mistake to make - I have been guilty on several ocassions), but I have to disagree strongly. The 2nd cut left an area uncut - illustrated by the pulled fibres on the piece after separation. This could have required considerable extra loading by the crane to break, which, can cause some serious problems of overloading & the pick bouncing on the line.
  11. Make sure you get it tuned spot-on. Makes a huge difference to performance
  12. The marl (or marline hitch) grips the branch better than a half-hitch. You can use a couple on small branches to tie it off, however as already stated it forms an overhand knot so groundies don't love it. But on those days rigging slippy timber it's worth a go as any help is welcome. An alternative not used much here is the clove hitch , tied off with 2 half hitches. It's quite versatile & easy to tie
  13. As a rookie I would try & learn to spike correctly. Clean every stub & if possible limb the tree on the way up. It will be worth the investment of time & effort in the long run.
  14. Not a timberwolf - build quality is far too good
  15. How about some of this? Sorry I can't help, just thought it was funny
  16. Rubbish. Velcro lasts if you look after it.
  17. Why don't they supply these as standard? There reducing the desirability of buying from them
  18. Grundens do some nice kit. I like my jacket
  19. Well, I'm in no rush to sort ours out. Broken brake band too now.
  20. Does anyone sell pacific helmets in the UK?
  21. I hate tree poo. It's more usual to cut into a pocket of it whilst climbing, covering yourself in it
  22. We are having issues with the filter performance. Fine particles are working there way through it consistently & in sufficient volume to worry me about the longterm performance have worries about the saw as it's going to damage the piston. The only other person I have queried about this has seen the same issues. Who else has seen this?
  23. Tidy work Reg
  24. We run 341's on 15in & .325. They work very well, but depends on your usage to swap or not. If your cutting in the woods then the narrower kerf will be an advantage, otherwise not thatmuch difference. The 9 tooth sproket does increase chain speed quite a bit
  25. I found that it ran better with the french prussic & beeline. Did you try it? You have to keep the hitch very short
