  7. Massive tree -but some horrendous & dangerous crane work. Think it's been posted here before
  8. £500 per year with a wood burner heating downstairs in a 2 bed end terrace. (We have the heating on minimal for winter & top the heat up with the burner)
  9. Big girl On a serious note, they are a little louder, but the performance is a big improvement & I find the note of a 560xp as loud if not more so
  10. Heated handles are great. 660 needs the dual port muffler - then it really does come alive
  11. LOLER has dragged the standard of kit in usage by arbs forward than anything else. If you look for negatives you can always find them!

  15. If you are qualified & experienced, then yes, but you must prove that your decisions are without "fear or "favour" I.e. you must prove you are impartial & there is no motive (financial for example) effecting your judgement

  19. 2 things to remember - It's all in the detail & concentrate on what your doing, not where you are doing it!!
  20. Vertex is a good starting point. Not too expensive & durable
  21. DIY or flea bay ?
  22. How big? What species? How long dead? How strong is the attachment ? The list of criteria is too long & a question I fear even google cannot provide the answer too. The answer is yes & no !
  23. Not to have a go at Drew, as he understands (it is an easy mistake to make - I have been guilty on several ocassions), but I have to disagree strongly. The 2nd cut left an area uncut - illustrated by the pulled fibres on the piece after separation. This could have required considerable extra loading by the crane to break, which, can cause some serious problems of overloading & the pick bouncing on the line.
  24. Make sure you get it tuned spot-on. Makes a huge difference to performance
