  1. Great saw - I've not had an issue with mine.
  2. Done. Enjoy the walk Dave
  3. That's rubbish Jim. Hope it's not too bad
  4. That's rubbish Jim. Hope it's not too bad
  5. That's rubbish Jim. Hope it's not too bad
  6. Great footage from a challenging environment. Good job
  7. I'm around at the APF on thursday & possibly friday morning, & if anyone wants a look I will put it in my bag
  8. A quick bit of feed-back on the H-H; The system itself is a joy to use & tends & switches from ascent to descent seamlessly. It fuctions well both with a single line & when used with traditional dDrt. The major negatives at this moment are my flounderings with my attempts to learn srt climbing. I look like a three legged rino learning ballet at best I will come back & post a serious & more comprehensive warts & all review in a month or so. Hopefully my skills will allow me to objectively test this bit of kit by then
  9. Where are you based Old Man, & do you have a web-site? It would help steer those interested towards you
  10. Good work can increase the life of a saw. This is because, after opening up the muffler they run cooler.
  11. Low stretch winch rope either synthetic, or steel. Size will depend on size of tree
  12. Look like they know trees & how to work them. Old school efficiency (apart from the sloping back-cut)

    Puwer - google it
  14. The Oxan is recommended Tim. The "dog bone" is a replacement for the top krab. I will still knot the cordage below it to fine tune it's function, but the primary connection will be to the krab. As for timing, you know as much as I do - a krab at the top was in the origonal set-up but superceeded enthusiastically by this one
  15. It's is the first production one - got it intime for the APF
  16. The Krab does take some of the heat - hence it's steel. Bend radius is small as the friction is spread over the dog bone at the top, the body & a little on the krab
  17. Great tool. Just tie in before you climb off them
  18. I have just received a nice new package from Ropetek in the states I love the fact that it tends the hitch & is a small compact unit. I will report back as I get proficient with it. The pics are not how it will be set up to use - the cord needs to be attached to the krab (sorry about my poor pics)
  19. Doing a 2 day job, working on a woodland boundary. Chatted with the home owner at intervals throughout the day, he made us a drink etc as was delighted to have the overhang reduced & damaged trees removed. Turned up on the second day & was met by a distraught neighbor, who, explained that he had passed away over night. Made for a solemn morning of work
  20. Cool. Fancy a little experiment ? How about crossing the m25 a few times blind-folded. You don't need to see as it will be gods will if you survive
  21. Yes. Just try & be sensible about what to climb & what you expect to achieve
  22. Hope the essex police marksmen are discriminate, as orange complection & big blonde fluffy hair are not exactly uncommon
  23. Looks like some good varied work & some decent sized trees
