Someone put up the original version of " Somebody to Love " by Jefferson Airplane . Grace Slick and Paul Kantna ...raw and gritty . Oh and " White Rabbit " I was " in love " with Grace when I was a teenager 🙂

I just popped in to see if PeteB was mentioned but then I remembered he's only changing jobs not being embalmed so that's all right then, panic over. Stuart

I had this handed to me as a non runner, purge bulb recently changed but does nothing because the fuel filter was blocked and the hose from tank to carburettor hard and kinked. Spray petrol in the intake and it fires. So I decided to change the hoses (4mm outer diameter to seal in the tank holes) and have ordered some. The thing is when I cleaned the tank out this bit circled brown was loose. I guess it is the return from the purge bulb? Does it fit from within the tank and the bulge formed bu the hose seal the tank> I'm guessing the filter fits on a continuous piece of hose to the carb?. This strimmer appears to be a badged Husqvarna/Jonsereds/Homelite as the part numbers which I found correspond with Husqvarna offerings.

There's a weapons factory 5 miles from where I live. The thing with nukes is that there's nothing you can realitically do to defend yourself, other than maybe try and get less mentally unstable people elected, I suppose. Don't worry about the things you can do very little about. If the sky turns white there's **************** all you can do about it. We can do things about the climate which might help, as the ecosystem we inhabit isn't completely goosed, yet. But that's nothing to do with the wotsit cuckwit in the White House.

Best one I've got is Edward Gilman An Illustrated Guide to Pruning The Educated Climber has put a lot of his stuff online, which is a good companion but I like a book to look at as well https://www.educatedclimber.com/dr-ed-gilman-teaching-series/

Footage from the successful (if loud) M-Tronic operation this morning. Why can’t car ECUs be that easy?

That's near enough what I reckon too, Ukraine has been very inventive with modern tech, took Russia by surprise that they didn't just roll over, Putin can't loose face so it is a war of attrition and who runs out of hardware first I think. Putin and Trump can talk all they want bur Putin is never going to walk away with nothing.

Indeed. Not oak or douglas fir. First result on google says, "greenheart is one of the stiffest woods in the world." Curious if that's just an advantage in a timber framed house build or whether you need a bit of flex if the structure is meant to flex a bit. Presumably training for cutting them under tension and not standing in the wrong place while doing so? There are some horrible videos of people cutting steel RSJs. They've got loads of stress in them. Twang. Shin in thirty pieces.

Just a slotted spoon in one hand and teaspoon in the other- yes it seems never ending but made more bearable with a nice cold beer on the go 🍺

Got it running now. Runs great on idle and when throttle is applied. I cleaned a breather pipe and this some how sorted it out. As for oem parts, the piston, cylinder and coil are genuine. The crank and carburettor are after market. An original crank is £200. Hopefully it runs now. May put the original carburettor on but get it pressure tested as previously mentioned.

Well here’s my two pennies worth - to be honest with you I find your advertising to be boring and tedious having to scroll past and ignore you posts. Not only do you have several adverts across various threads you’ve now taken up several ads in the classified section? If all arb related retailers did what you do the real interesting and often informative threads on arbtalk would be lost and the forum probably die? We all have existing retailers we go to as first point of call, we can all use Google and also use the block adds down the side of every page on here where required and I do? Also when you started I did a couple of comparisons and you weren’t much cheaper if at all than a few other retailers? You asked, that’s my opinion, it of course will make no difference what I say🤔

I imagine avoiding anything with my name on because I generally treat them like an unannounced DEFRA visit.
