IMO, the older stuff was, while being heavy by todays standards pretty much indestructible, and that would apply to many brands, not just Husqvarna, but just about all of the manufactures built decent durable saws, the "cd" range of Huskies could handle most wood, and if needed there were big Dolmars the 153,166. as well as the Stihls, 041,right up to the huge displacement 090. I cant get enthusiastic about a 500i or "autotune" it's not that I object to progress, but maybe the direction it's gone, building as cheap as possible and often short lived components, rather than higher quality build and long life. some of todays saws are almost devoid of any user serviced parts. much like modern cars. not sure if I would feel different if I still had to earn a living with a saw. a decent older Husky or a Dolmar 116si would suit me just fine. that said I'll rebuild this 350 and you never know, it might just grow on me.

Done. We'll find out, maybe. In all honesty I don't believe it'll make much difference, other variables like temperature, light level, ripeness at picking, type, spacing etc are probably more important, but who knows.

Just googled Hartside Cafe, apparently they are starting to build a new one in 2025, a modern steel and glass constructed building.

Probably also shaped the infeed so a bottle of wine or a glass wouldn't stay put, then some clever bugger invented sippy cup with a lanyard!.

I’ll quote you direct to make it plain and simple. As Ive said already but just to reiterate asked out of plain old fashioned curiosity nothing more nothing less, if I’d known the shite it would generate I’d not have bothered. No one was at any time trying to “ Walt” you as you put it. Don’t judge people by your own standards lad, you really did read far too much into it. Just forget it ffs.

Would all Doosan have the controls on the feet? I’ve seen a couple of sany sy18 for similar price, which seem to have a regular dipper as standard-would they have joystick controls for the grab and rotator?

Good Morning Back from Florence / Arezzo. With help from Italian consulate and the wonderful people at the war graves commission my sister and I were able to put my mums ashes on her dad's war grave. An emotional few days punctuated by lovely food, great people and the odd Grappa. Have a great weekend.

So @eggsarascal its been 4 weeks since your story about your friends at Cleethorpes and we've waited patiently for media stories to come out about the bus loads of immigrants but there has been nothing. I think that an explanation is needed or people can think the worst about you.

Not today but last wk, fitted a new hydraulic to tractor and finally splashed out on a new timber grab, totally transformed the whole outfit, lifts better and grips logs better, had 4 days extracting with it and loved every minuet of it,,

Aye, but there has to be a line. I might well have crossed one as I had no idea who he was, and plenty of people did. I think that's testament to the the fact I can be crass. But mostly it's testament to the fact that the organisations that run social media (not you Steve) have us in their sights. Why would I even know of the existence of Charlie Kirk? His content doesn't show up on a libtard's playlist. This is the problem. We all have common ground. We should use it.

I recommend getting an Imax B8, B6 or the various off brand clones (of a chinese item). This is intended for RC lithium charging but it will also do a very good job of lead acid, telling you exactly how much charge has done in, how much was in it with a discharge test. Generally Pb batteries are over rated abot 4x becuase of the way they degrade, this makes them last about 10x longer than if a smaller battery was specified. I generally say if measures at 50% capacity its time to be aware of future problems. At 25-40% you can expect problems if you leave lights on or dont give it ample chance to recharge. Below 20% you should expect problems, keep a jump starter with you and consider replacing. However theres little point replacing one if it will be used once, left to discharge for three years and then need replacing again.

I think that would be fair, although you'd probably want the timber too to make it pay for you.
