  2. I've had to deal with a few problems over the years and know of a few dodgy people in the area. I've found a suspicious dead own on my woodland about this time of year but when I looked into it it is not uncommon. Young owl fledglings can struggle to feed themselves and with the recent poor, wet, weather may starve to death. I'd look closely at the remains and see if there was anything in them. If someone has shot it I would guess unlicensed air rifle or catapult as I don't think owls tend to be persecuted. You could raise it with your local police wildlife crime officer, one I've met was very knowledgeable, but I've also dealt with other police (as a witness) who left a lot to he desired. Or a local owl charity. It would be worth getting to know your neighbours as they may well know what goes on in the area, legal or otherwise.
  3. Big wheels are off and standards back on. It means I can turn a corner now 😂

  8. I know nothing about the dolmar or anything pre 90s ,bar ive heard old school people talk about dolmar, danarm and solo. Stihl Ms 241 cm was a dog -for a pro saw i can give up the weight but a slow cutter no thanks . Just get what they are trying to do , but not the same . And yes some faults you coild get around in the field but not the modenern stuff
  9. No problem There is no comparison in reality. Fair play mind you were fast on the quite comprehensive comeback 👍
  10. Done. We'll find out, maybe. In all honesty I don't believe it'll make much difference, other variables like temperature, light level, ripeness at picking, type, spacing etc are probably more important, but who knows.
  11. Just googled Hartside Cafe, apparently they are starting to build a new one in 2025, a modern steel and glass constructed building.
  12. Probably also shaped the infeed so a bottle of wine or a glass wouldn't stay put, then some clever bugger invented sippy cup with a lanyard!.
  13. This might have saved a fall in the event of a fluffed clip in or carabiner failure. STRAPLINK | Etrangleuse de longe - FTC WWW.ELAGAGE-HEVEA.COM Le STRAPLINK est un accessoire de longe astucieuse et indispensable. Elle permet l'étranglement de la longe...
  14. Good Morning Back from Florence / Arezzo. With help from Italian consulate and the wonderful people at the war graves commission my sister and I were able to put my mums ashes on her dad's war grave. An emotional few days punctuated by lovely food, great people and the odd Grappa. Have a great weekend.
  15. So @eggsarascal its been 4 weeks since your story about your friends at Cleethorpes and we've waited patiently for media stories to come out about the bus loads of immigrants but there has been nothing. I think that an explanation is needed or people can think the worst about you.
  16. Yesterday
  17. Not today but last wk, fitted a new hydraulic to tractor and finally splashed out on a new timber grab, totally transformed the whole outfit, lifts better and grips logs better, had 4 days extracting with it and loved every minuet of it,,
  18. Aye, but there has to be a line. I might well have crossed one as I had no idea who he was, and plenty of people did. I think that's testament to the the fact I can be crass. But mostly it's testament to the fact that the organisations that run social media (not you Steve) have us in their sights. Why would I even know of the existence of Charlie Kirk? His content doesn't show up on a libtard's playlist. This is the problem. We all have common ground. We should use it.
  19. you need a scouser for it, cos they do dough, dont they, dough?
  20. They must be loving the wet then warm weather that we've had this week. Fungi heaven.
  21. number 1s an accident waiting to happen - no ppe, face in the kickback zone. who is teaching these people?
  22. I recommend getting an Imax B8, B6 or the various off brand clones (of a chinese item). This is intended for RC lithium charging but it will also do a very good job of lead acid, telling you exactly how much charge has done in, how much was in it with a discharge test. Generally Pb batteries are over rated abot 4x becuase of the way they degrade, this makes them last about 10x longer than if a smaller battery was specified. I generally say if measures at 50% capacity its time to be aware of future problems. At 25-40% you can expect problems if you leave lights on or dont give it ample chance to recharge. Below 20% you should expect problems, keep a jump starter with you and consider replacing. However theres little point replacing one if it will be used once, left to discharge for three years and then need replacing again.
  23. I think that would be fair, although you'd probably want the timber too to make it pay for you.
  24. Time Left: 5 days and 20 hours
