  2. Got a similar set to purposely remove the small drive gear support bearing in the removable lower cover of the Stihl long reach and kombi hedge cutters. Got fed up cracking the alloy cover trying to lever out what was left of the bearing, and having to replace the cover as well. The very smallest blind puller just fits and does a great job.
  3. Childtrak if it's on the school run.
  4. Evening all, after selling small chippers for a few years, I've gone on to selling large chippers and am pleased to announce that Doyle Machinery have been awarded the importership for the whole Ufkes Greentec range of wood chippers, stump grinders and feller bunchers for the UK and Ireland. If these biomass grade wood chippers or ancillary equipment are your thing, please give me a call in the first instance. 07345 393666 or email me at [email protected] We will be present at a number of shows this year, ScotPlant, RWAS, The Royal Highland and the APF IN September. https://doylemachinery.co.uk/product-category/forestry-machinery/

  5. Anyone got unseasoned logs in Lake District Cumbria please I also have my own saw so can come and chop felled wood up thanks jack
  6. TBH, both helicoil or Timesert will do an effective job if done correctly. One bit of advice is to use a decent quality tap and usually a taper one otherwise there is a distinct chance that the tap will go in at an angle causing sealing issues. I use Volkel taps as they are decent and not OMG expensive, avoid all these cheap Chinese alternatives as the job is as strong as the quality of the receiving thread.
  7. Incorrect, you describe an offset D which is the opposite of an HMS. Rhino and phantom are both HMS carabiners. Halbmastwurf sicherung translates as Munter hitch belay carabiner. Halb= half, mastwurf = mast hitch, sicherung = belay. From the Shadow HMS Note the last line, its designed to take three clove hitches. The slight asymmetry will not cause any problems.

Very odd! Has that been extended or has the rear most axle fallen off?
  11. So Mick . Who do you get to do that bit then mate ? Genuine question 😃
  12. A decent log burner drys all kit ready for the next day👌🏻 I understand not all are fortunate enough to to be bestowed with such a blessing. I find that when it is wet a wicking base layer is a beauty. This sip jacket has been proper, on my second one. The price has got a little on the expensive side efor my liking but it is fairly hardy and waterproof so worth it.
  13. Last 3 pair the insides of the soles broke up and fell out starting from 3 month, completely failed at 6 month.Haix say abuse.Im 13.5 stone, semie retired.
  14. Another ash, trying not to squash the conni below. It was also good to test the clip on my 2511. It works very nicely for one hand stowing.

  20. Morning all, Should be dry here. Cedar dismantle today. Young lad climbing, Awkward exit from rear garden, timber stays on site. Two dragging, I’m on ropes. Be safe.
  21. That's frustrating! I Have been told green flag is the way to go for cover, the Uber driver that took my wife home said he does loads of RAC and AA jobs and said this sort of stuff is common place.

  23. Nice to see a post like this pop up for a change. Good aftersales support makes a massive difference when machines are earning their keep every day. Quick turnaround, clear communication, and no messing about is exactly what you want when something goes wrong. Stories like this are why some brands keep loyal customers for years.
  24. Swap injectors like when you're diagnosing a dead coil.
  25. An estate I know of tried to weigh a big Fendt and triple axle spreader to check that they weren't being done and failed as their weighbridge was only rated to fifty tonnes 🤭😅
  26. A man came home from work one day to find his wife sitting on the front porch with her bags packed. He asked her where she was going. She replied: “I’m going to Las Vegas”. He questioned her as to why. “I just found out that I can make £500 a night doing what I give you for free”. He pondered that then went into the house and packed his bags and returned to the porch. “And just where do you think you’re going?” “I’m going with you!” he replied. “Why?” she asked. “I want to see how you are going to live on £1,000 a year!”
  27. I always start with a job sheet. I list everything pertaining to that particular job from address, grid reference, what three words, equipment etc, id of ambulance rv and Heli LS, nearest A & E hospital, minor injury. Job itself. Saws and equipment etc, you get my drift, I could go on but wont bore you? I have a standard pre printed headings list. For the method statement I extract info from job sheet. For Risk Assessment I extract info from method statement. Lots of repetition all the way through?
