  1. I usually get nipped on the legs by the blighters when stood on the back of my canal boat , steering. The best thing I have found is Sudocrem. Usually used for nappy rash

  4. Didn't Stihl have a problem with the fuel tank plastic some time ago on some of the streamer models , becoming deformed or something ??? I'm sure I read it somewhere.
  5. I use a pantin...why not , if it makes life easier ?
  6. I use both of those , blue and orange , in double rope mode , not SRT. I have to say that I prefer the Orange. It just "feels" better.
  7. Still HS45 for rough stuff and a Stihl HS81T for more precise work.

  14. I'm liking the idea of a zig-zag , but happy with my hitch climber with a pantin. I am still messing around with hitch cords. Using Marlow Viper on Cougar Blue at the moment.
  15. I did an 18" one for a friends wedding 3 months ago. I was chatting to a friend outside his canal boat and my other friend came up and asked me if I could make him a cake stand for his wedding. I said : "sure". At the time I was standing next to a convenient stump of an ash tree…. 5 minutes later I'd got out the 261 and cut him a 2" ring off the stump ! How was that for service ?! He was happy as could be ! He sanded it up himself later… Didn't charge. Gave me some wedding cake after the wedding though
