  1. Yes they will work on a tripod ladder. Not quite as well as on the floor tho ? occasionally the bars at the bottom of the harness will hook in the steps if Side on to the ladder but coming up a inch frees it no bother
  2. Big brother is watching you ?
  3. I use a ct foot ascender as a knee one. Just undo the section of webbing that goes under your foot, put a tool clip on it and hook to a foot loop, put some padding on the back (I still need to do this) and put it on round your knee, all for around £30. been using this for a couple of years, with a foot ascender on the other foot. The one shown with the fixed link between foot and the ascender looks bulky and will get in the way in the tree.
  4. Excellent piece of kit ?
  5. ? the yoof of tomorrow ?

    Where am I ?

Looking at the Isle of Wight
  7. Check the bar doesn’t have a bur on the side from getting hot and a lack of oil, his can make a saw feel blunt as it hold the chain away from the wood. Easy sorted with a flat file just check the top of the rails are at 90 deg
  8. Find work with a decent crew and you will learn in time, take all the chances your given to practice/learn and watch what/how others do things. Most good climbers have good experience on the ground first so don’t worry about starting there
  9. A second person on a pitch fork to pull them away once cut makes this very quick? We also cut bramble “cubes” out with the hedge cutter and remove with the pitch fork

    Fungi app

Well said Mr P. If I had known I wouldn’t of let my fone update either ? the cost of the app is almost irrelevant as it’s easier than a book and always in your pocket

    Fungi app

Sorry Steve I missed that bit, I must read properly before speaking ? If we need to buy the iphone app again when you get that far I won’t be worried as it is/was worth its weight in gold ?

    Jokes???

2 fish in a tank, one said to the other “you know how to drive this thing?”
  14. But life is to long to do a job you don’t enjoy dispite how well it pays, the money means nowt if your not enjoying it.
  15. Hopper folding may make for quicker blade changes but the hopper looks narrow which may make for harder feeding?
  16. One of you on the south coast and one in Scotland, the size of stove needed will differ as much as the climate ?
  17. Take the machine in then. It will turn a £1.50 part into £25 part but what’s your 30 seconds worth?
  18. Measure the internal diameter, the external size is irielivent unless it needs to fit through a tight space. Most small engine fuel line is around 6 or 8mm ID. regardless of size as @Mick Dempsey said most garden machinery shops, motor factors or agricultural dealers will have it on the shelf as will eBay and the like. its normally sold by the m or a roll of lots of m
  19. No worries ?
  20. I’m not worried about buying British because it’s british more because the day it goes wrong (either from user error or mechanical failure) you can pick the phone up so if greenmech had done a tracked cs100 then I would of prob had that rather than the peruzzo simply because I could pick the phone up and speak to someone in my language rather than having another barrier in the way of getting working again. The man that made the machine knows more than the dealer in most cases however good the dealer is. Practical rather than patriotic reasons. As to the copying side of it I didn’t know at the time how much of a copy it was but at the end of the day a wheel is still a wheel and can only be reinvented so many times and still be a wheel.
  21. I’m not interested in the fight over who’s is best or the original, I needed a tracked machine for a job if both colours of green came on tracks I would of considered both. Then the British made would prob of won just because it’s british made. @equip4ind the book needs to show more detail on setting anvil and blade clearances he rest is good enough for anyone with half a brain ??
  22. The peruzzo manual is deffently not a fine piece of literature ? the tracked side of it that we brought it for has redeemed it for the lack of reading material (until I need said book, than I may be somewhat frustrated) ?
  23. The peruzo tracked chipper. Cheap for what its capabilities and build quality are. It will go just about anywhere you will run out of balls before the machine gives up? and it chips well. no it won’t replace a bigger roller fed chipper but on long straight material at about 3inch it gives the forst a run for its money, forget the twisty or forky stuff at speed, that takes longer but concidering you have no drag because the chipper is at the tree it’s bang on the money in the right situation. All in all a pro small chipper that does exactly what it says on the tin, a great compliment to our 8 inch machine Speak to Dan at @equip4ind for more info, he is a good guy providing good service https://equipment4industry.com/collections/chippers-1/products/tb100-c-tracked-drum-chipper
