  1. Most definitely not ?, it’s all a risk, the biggest problem is you can't see it to avoid it! Where you draw the line as to what is reasonable risk is the hard part.
  2. But the wife does the shopping ? seriously I think it has got to the point of ”don’t take life to seriously, no one gets out alive anyway” we can’t change it so just be careful and sensible. We’re not working with the tree work at the min
  3. No we can’t, simple as that. The following is just to be pedantic but also thought provoking about cross contamination if the virus lives on surfaces between 24 to 72 hours you can’t send a saw up to the climber, or rigging kit or untie said rigging line for (potentially) 3 days after the climber has touched it tieing it on. For that matter you can’t clear up what the climber has cut n chucked as they have touched it. the saws, tool box and door handles on the truck, the chipper controls, fuel can etc can only be touched by one person. arial rescue at 2m apart ? gloves could help but once one person has a hole a glove or touched here face with the glove there offering little/no protection, is it worth the risk and Agro? so unless you work alone or all come from the same house you can’t social distance properly in tree work This wasn’t written as a rant but to get a watertight risk assessment for Covid19 could be hard going and without one are you leaving your self open to claims from employees/subbies for not keeping them safe? ?

    Covid-19

Vaping linked to teen's 'popcorn lung' type injury WWW.BBC.CO.UK Canadian doctors who treated the teen say the injury is unlike vaping-related illnesses in the US. I think the true extent of the health damage from vapes will show in a few years time, all new things are safe until proven otherwise ?
  5. White and chocolate David brown should be early 70s at a guess ? im guessing at a 990 by the wheel height and with a power loader, a big cost option when it was new ? just seen I was beaten to it sorry
  6. He problem is Andy if you need to sell your charger because there is no work no other bugger will have the cash to buy it. ?
  7. Catch it, makes a good wine, or similar. Have also heard of it being used to sweeten tea or watered down if you don’t like it neat. it normally stops in a couple of days but occasionally lasts up to a week, quite possibly linked to how much moisture it is up taking from the ground.
  8. Can’t imagine there wouldn’t be much of a que for boris’s job at the minute ?
  9. Never mind the fans, is that a Ford FW in the background? ?
  10. Shhhhhh next week we will need two seat belts as well
  11. Bfg here also, they more than pay for themselves over cheaper tyres

    Jokes???

It would appear that one of them is a plastic coat, practice what you preach and ditch the plastic!
  13. F - Fix O - Often R - Repeatedly S - Shouting T - Tourette’s
  14. Congratulations ? Looks like you made a cracking job of that little project! Take some time to enjoy with the family, they soon grow up ?
  15. Unless your fatter than the gap just ladder over the post at end of Garage and drop another section over into the gap for later escape, Go to tree and spike up. Unless I’ve missed something it’s a Easy number. Edit: missed you couldn’t fit in the gap sorry, Steve has the solution, or eco plug just blow roof height, never tried this but can’t see why it wouldn’t work
  16. That would put a stop to most of the cowboys and level the playing field ? also if your not a registered user you can’t buy a chain saw would push the value of our work up ? could be a win win answer providing we don’t need two ropes to register ?
  17. @AA Teccie (Paul) this needs reading out at the meeting, it’s the best description I’ve seen that a layman who doesn’t really know what we do can look at and say that’s utter madness what are the hse thinking?
  18. Check the spring on the throttle and guvnor arms I’ve seen them fail on the Honda engines causing low power and hunting/rev problems.
  19. Cracking picture ? edited just to say WELL? What is it we are waiting for? I’m beginning to think it will be a bus and there will be 3 of them
  20. I would say yes it would need Iva as by changing the axles you had modified it’s chassis. I would lift it off it’s chassis and bolt it down to a Uk registered trailer of a suitable weight and have far less Agro/paperwork ? As to the rest of ce marking I wouldn’t be surprised by the time your done you could just buy one ready to roll from the uk agents for your choice of machine and have less stress, and better back up when it goes wrong. No dealer likes to help you out when you have bypassed them to save a grand, once you can’t get spares/info quickly the grand saved looks expensive to me.
  21. Yes some time ago, last summer possibly. Ryetec have taken Peruzzo over apparently.
  22. Nor will most things from the chair polishers ?
  23. Has it got two tow hitches just to keep HSE happy?
  24. Good find. Can we have a link please?
