    I remember my dad just tipping a “sploge” of super universal tractor oil in a can of petrol when I was a kid. I asked how he knows how much was needed the answer was “just a sploge” the 2stroke lawn boy mower and homelight saw he had lasted for years. Things have Changed in the last 35 ish years but have we really come on and moved forward? Now having to carefully measure 2 stroke oil and worrying about getting it right doesn’t really sound like progress ? that said you could smell the saw going nearly as far away as you could hear it ?

    You can chase the hinge quicker with the smaller saw if needed but on the flip side you can also cut yourself into trouble by taking to much hinge quickly. I would go for the sharper saw if it was a nice tree, but if it needed wedging or a forward leaner poss go with the bigger bar (assuming the saw is matched to the bar and cuts nicely)

    The Ali ramps can be very slippy when wet, rubber tracked machines can struggle. Far better in the dry but hard work when it’s crap weather

    We use them, a mix of Stihl and husky ones, they do work. ?

    One of these will get you going, the husky version is a little deeper but needs extra rivets in the bottom to stop your hook falling through.     Speak to Arborventure training, there just across the water in sway. John and Jo are excellent and will teach you far more than just enough to pass the tickets Not sure what there costs are like compared to others but they are well worth it.

    I brought my mill from you not a eBay cheapo jobie because of the youtube vids - this guy uses what he sells and knows what he is talking about. Since then all my bars and all (small amount for fun) my milling kit come from you. Thanks Rob keep it up.

    Very, only used it as ground protection but has stood up very well.

    I scored 2 ? numbers 13 and 17. Not sure it’s a good thing however what happens at college stays at college and that was 20 odd year ago ? also in my defence I did own a limo so number 5 was a fail by default ?

    Does this come under right of access for maintenance? In that to maintain the tree (remove) over the customers garden you need to access the tree (anchor point) the other side of the boundary? Or can you climb the tree from the other side of the boundary to gain access to the part of the tree that is the customers side of the boundary. This is a genuine question I don’t know the answer to but have been asked in the past.

    I used to drive a 6180 when it was new. Cracking tractor but the electric forward/reverse shuttle was temperamental, was taken out and put back to a Manuel one in the end.

    These are cheap but good, not the most comfortable compared to more expensive offerings but not bad. You can adjust between flood and spot light. Hi and low settings plus a silly annoying strobe. The rechargeable battery lasts ages. Mine is now going into its 2nd winter at work and also gets used in the workshop so hasn’t had a clean easy life. I reckon it was good value for money.     The chipper hopper is half to 2/3 the height of the truck bed so it is in effect a easier loading device ? there is a very good argument for brash piles in the right place tho.
