  1. Google “back haulage” or “return haulage” various sites available to get a quote from
  2. If your not making enough to pay for new teeth your grinding far to cheap! Overheads + profit = price, get out of the race to the bottom.
  3. Horses and riders should have to have a test to check they can cope with traffic, and should carry insurance, as should push bikes. That might slow the buggers up a bit.
  4. These things are good if they will fit down the hole, be warned tool station sell 2 sets but really it’s 1 full set in 2 packs and Sod’s law says which ever set you get you will need the other (I’ve got both for that reason ? ) Irwin Bolt Grip Nut Remover Set WWW.TOOLSTATION.COM Securely grips and removes stubborn nuts and bolts. 5. Most pro grinders will get aprox 16- 18inch deep from flat ground. You can always “dig it in” if you need to get a little deeper. If your going to be building a retaining wall, a digger with a root hook might be easier if you have access for a sensible size machine as it can reach down the slope with out disappearing down it ? and you can make use of it for the wall footings and back fill.
  6. Air flow is key, less air means slower drying. A real lack of air flow can mean mouldy logs that in turn dry evan slower.
  7. What sort of mpg to you get from the toe rag, we have thought it could be a good option but worried the v10 might be some what thirsty!
  8. HS2 tree protester 'willing to be arrested' WWW.BBC.CO.UK The man, called Quercus, was interviewed from a tree in an ancient Warwickshire woodland. I wonder how long they will last this time, Newbury bypass has to be the bench mark! i do think they have a good cause hs2 is a mess. I think the gov will win in the end, they won’t let the masses get in the way of their vanity project.
  9. I’ve had these recommended before, but, I’ve not had dealings with them personally, just had them saved. Kohler Engines | Uni-Power WWW.UNI-POWER.CO.UK Kohler Engines | Uni-Power
  10. Leave it, arbex and the like was left behind as crap years ago, it seals more crap in than it keeps out
  11. Paisley freight are good for odd size stuff that doesn’t fit in a standard box Paisley Freight - Alloy Wheel Courier, Bike Courier, Car Parts Courier WWW.PAISLEYFREIGHT.COM Paisley Freight are a UK specialist goods courier sending alloy wheels, tyres, bikes, car parts and sports equipment.
  12. ART RopeGuide with Link Pulley | Honey Brothers HONEYBROS.COM ART RopeGuide with Link Pulley from Honey Brothers. The largest equipment specialist in the tree care industry. He rope guide will grip to well over 99% of stems. A sling choked around the stem, carabiner and micro pulley will also do the job just not retrieveable from the floor
  13. We go direct to the guys at Preditor, we have delt with them since before they had a dealer network. charles was arb rep wasn’t he, apparently he moved back to South Africa but I’m not 100% on that.
  14. We have had no problems with predator machines or there service, we are on our second machine from them with no major issues, we had a small drive problem with our first one and there service was spot on. I can’t recommend them highly enough, I certainly won’t look at other grinders unless they seriously drop the ball. I can’t say the 28 I use rattles it’s self to bits, it’s been faultless. Im not saying other machines won’t be as good, but the predators are a decent machine with first class service, this is not to sniffed at, he best machine will give up at some point but good support, fast parts delivery/service makes the difference between a happy customer or one who tells the world it’s crap!
  15. Remove most of he dead (leave some for the insect life, that will in turn feed the birds etc) then reshape and thin, if you thin the tallest stems you will reduce the height at the same time. Also remove and wood that’s rubbing unless it’s been like it for years and starting to fuse together. Any cuts you make try to leave a small stub rather than flush to the stem as the tree can heal better. It has got a good few years in it yet, but I would poss think it is time to plant the next generation as it is in its latter years and won’t last indefinitely. any solid wood you remove will make good fire wood or the local wood turners always like fruit wood.
  16. No idea, very cool picture tho, thanks for sharing
  17. I think it’s a “Look at me” job
  18. We use the Stihl long reach battery one, it’s spot on, when the short one needs changing next it will be battery to match. They don’t quite keep up with petrol on thick stuff but on trimming you won’t beat it - no fumes, lower vibes, no ears needed, less weight which makes a huge difference on the top of wide hedges I could go on! I don’t believe in the environmental side of battery equipment as we are just moving the problem to the lithium mines in poorer countries and to the power stations but as a tool just wow what a difference in personal enjoyment and safety from lack of fumes and vibrations
  19. Shortsightedness seems to be at play here, in the longer term the rates will cost far more than you will gain in the short term, there’s no such thing as a free lunch, personally I would be keeping my head down.

    Jokes???

Reckon that would make your eyes water ?
  21. @Shaunpaul have you taken a airline to it fairly aggressively? I’ve seen filters like this get wrecked by being to hash with a blow gun?
  22. That makes a nice change to hear, many a life been saved by even the most basic set of saw trousers,
  23. Only seen one here on he island so far, less than normal ?, hopefully there just a bit later.
  24. I’ve always known them as hollow punches, @ Stubby has the use of them above, I also use them for making bolt holes in the rubber guards around the head of stump grinders.
  25. Plastic tanks suffer from far less condensation than steel, plastic out of the sun will last for years with no issues.
