  1. What made you go for the Norwood over logsol, trekmet or woodland mills?
  2. Cell grown plants and tubex easy wrap seem to give better results over bare root and spirals. The guards go on quicker and remove complete, most can be reused for a second planting.
  3. For fitting the breast plate to? (Only guessing, not even an educated one!)
  4. Useful button - have used
  5. You brought a house with mature trees close by in someone else’s property and now your complaining about the trees that were clearly visible when you viewed the property? I can hear it from here “I love trees but………..” 🙄 I’m quite aware I’m no help on the subject but, is this for real? I wouldn’t of brought the property if the trees were a problem. To be fair I can see they are likely to be a problem to most people.
  6. @Woodworks Have you got a link? I can’t seem to find anything on there site apart from biochar. (I’m a techno Luddite tho)
  7. Sorry spud, buggered if I know what happened 🤦‍♂️
  8. Don’t flail it until you’ve spoken to whoever is laying it. if you get no joy on here, try here: NHLS HEDGELAYING.ORG.UK
  9. In the past I have put 20 cube a day through a older woodland mills version of this with 2 people and a basic log deck (just a bench at the same height as the infeed) they are simple and basic machines with little to go wrong. It’s not a big processor comparing it with one is like comparing a greenmech cs100 and a lorry mounted biomass chipper, completely different animals for completely different markets. It is what it is - simple and effective for relatively small quantities of firewood.
  10. Is trig parking in your box as well?

    Tipper body

If you paid for a zinc (galvanised) and you haven’t got it send it back. The term is “Not fit for purpose” if it’s not as you were quoted and paid for you will be able to return the body, at worst case you will win in small claims (assuming you have a written quote and a invoice/receipt and didn’t pay cash to dodgy Dave from the pub) In the mean time don’t sand or paint it etc - As soon as you change/modify the product (body) it will be your problem. All of the above is assuming you have only had the body a short period of time, if I remember rightly the law states words to the effect of “a reasonable time frame” check the rules with someone who’s job it is to know the finer points (not me) If it’s old and I’ve missed the point 3m do a good rust converter/stopper.
  12. On a shogun we used to have was fitted with a peddlers hd suspension setup, it sat 1.5-2 inch higher and a little stiffer, it made the world of difference against the standard shogun set up for towing a heavy trailer, rode, handled and the trailer braked better.
  13. I’ve seen similar on sycamore, it made me take a second look the first time I saw it?
  14. Full time for the same company is not a sub contractor in the eyes of hmrc. Sooner or later the brown stuff will hit the spinning thing on the ceiling. Pass the popcorn please someone 🍿
  15. This morning in the time it took me to put 90 something £ in the truck there was a couple of woman complaining how long they had to que, one of them I could see the pump, she put less than a tenner in her car. They want a bloody slap 🤯
  16. While your greasing ive had probs with the pivot points binding stopping a tipper body coming down. (I don’t need a 🍺)
  17. Put a picture up, it’s easier to help so you will get better and more responses. For a start I would remove the dead, depending on the height of the hedge you should fill some of the gaps by laying it. If you lay it in a low style like Dorset you can plash down some hazel so it takes root in the gaps as well. (This can be done with higher styles but the stem layed flat to take root may look a little odd.) where abouts are you in the country? There are some of on here that lay or look up on here: NHLS WWW.HEDGELAYING.ORG.UK
  18. All good this side of the water cheers. Hope the same can be said for you guys?
  19. Eventually the trunk splits. They dont seem to snap the handle off so yes prob fairly strong
  20. Mine have always been one piece of holly or oak. Hold the limb and use the trunk section as the mallet. But as often as not the axe works just as well. Find a upward swept limb, it will help you get more height/better angle to hammer with.
  21. Fix your air line while your in the workshop 🙈 a quick blow off would save a world of pain when you get crap in the pot and score the bore 🤐
  22. Do the euro fitting attachments fit straight onto a multi one?
  23. It’s a new one on me as well. I’m also liking the rope brush in the vice, looks much easier than using it in your hand 👍
  24. Ask them if they haggle on the price in the supermarket? As to matching other people’s quotes, that’s a mugs game and what ends up being a race to the bottom.
