  1. Eggs I’m not good with solutions but I’ve seen it from many sides, all the best finding your solution. It takes time but suffin will flick the switch to turn the light back on hopefully someone/thing will flick your switch somewhen soon 👍
  2. There isn’t many folk left that can work a proper manual lathe to that standard 👍😎
  3. Do the job, then work out what you would of charged, add some for your Agro rearranging the diary, add some for call out and add a bit more for extra profit for the extra agro. Forget the hourly rate if you have the go ahead and work out what the job was/is worth after. if you have to give a hourly rate before hand I would work along the lines of £x per man hour £X per chipper hour £x for the tractor/loader etc etc that way you can roll out any toys you need knowing there earning there keep.
  4. Same as you normally would plus a bit for urgent call out, make hay while the sun shines but don’t take the piss or the sun will go in for you and come out for the next team.
  5. We got one of these about 7 or 8 year ago, it’s been faultless. A bit heavy for some stuff but it has never given up whatever it’s been hooked to has moved 👍 3200kg Wire Rope Puller x 20m - Aluminium Wire Rope Puller - Winches & Pulleys WWW.THERATCHETSHOP.COM Designed for various pulling and lifting applications Wire rope can be used at any working angle Compact and light weight Equipped with two safety devices, this guarantees safe user... they do smaller ones as well if that one is to big.
  6. @trigger_andy I quite agree. I wasn’t defending the hunt I would rather see it done by a good keeper. It’s the anti blood sports lot that I’ve a problem with messing with what they don’t understand. Its the same as the vegans telling us to eat soya as it’s more eco friendly forgetting it’s imported from half way round the world using a load of fuel, which I think causes as much or probably more co2 as the roast beef from the local butcher.
  7. The problem lies (along with many things in this country) in my opinion with towns folk being so far removed from where and how there food is produced, if every poncey twat had to get involved with the production of their own food they may have a bit more understanding of the countryside and the fact those that live and work in rural areas help to keep a balance. We don’t just go out to kill all foxes or any other animal. More damage is done with people interfering with this process. The Law of unintended consequences. By not controlling the numbers of a Predetor you reduce the numbers of its food and then the whole food chain and local eco system becomes dysfunctional losing larger numbers of wild life.
  8. Otter box is the way forward. I dropped a I phone out of a mewp about 40ft on to concrete. Groundy collected it and it was fine. They ain’t cheap as cases go but worth the money. I’ve got the defender series one
  9. I’ve seen worse, normally mine! @difflock show us more of the mbtrac, I drove one just after finishing college, quite possibly one of the best tractors of there time.
  10. @trigger_andy Leslie is missing you
  11. So what’s the answer? Don’t leave us in suspenders @Billhook
  12. 90 - 100kg for the slab

Once when you get it out and again at batt change, it’s hardly a big deal. That said the bar and chain would prob last longer if it oiled all the while
  14. The prop would be in he way on most 4x4 single cabs to get between the cab and rear axle unfortunately
  15. A true case of it looked good on paper! The concept is good if you could lose the height I reckon it could have legs. I think the only way would be to use a front wheel drive truck and bend the chassis down and round under the chipper, possibly between the rear trailing arms. But this would bring you into SVA regs and possibly a whole load of ball ache
  16. The best saw is the one with the best local dealer

Excellent bit of kit in the right place, but don’t expect wonders a silky can be quicker for some stuff but for the odd bit or lots of cuts in fruit tree pruning it can be a good send. The leg holster thing for it is crap tho don’t waste your money. Edit: also good for hedge reductions
  18. Find a good crew to get some experience with, a poor crew will hold you back both in quality of work and earning potential as your only as good as your learnin good luck.
  19. That’s cool. Would take pride of plaice on any table!
  20. I reckon the infeed height would do your back in if it was on a defender, on a lower truck would be better. you would have a better legal payload with a 3.5t trailer than any 3.5t truck 👍
  21. I paddle my own canoe but if I was employed and my boss came up with a twat of an idea like that to compare people he would be told his fortune, it wouldn’t be watered down just black and white.
  22. The turntable idea is a good one, you could be onto something there🤔👍 Ive no interest in offering a chipping service tho, the thought of badly stacked brash full of soil, stones, fence posts with nails, pallets, bags of dog eggs etc just makes me cringe! We have all seen the piles of crap that you know your going to be asked “can you just stick that through your machine?”
  23. I thought it looked it was built for a particular purpose, good idea but I don’t think it’s a commercially viable concept in he open market, the world and his wife have brown bins now
  24. Wood Chipper Greenmech WWW.EBAY.CO.UK Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for Wood Chipper Greenmech at the best online prices at eBay! Free delivery for many products! unusal set up, can’t see it being useful myself but as a service to home owners it could work. I wonder if it’s a proper build or a home brew bodge job 🤔 @Pete B this a factory job?
  25. All sold and gone.
