  1. The best thing you can give to the competition is a bad customer. Time to walk in my mind.
  2. That is your most valuable bit of scrap, the copper pipes, cable and lead flashing around chimneys etc

    Jokes???

We’ll Im very disappointed that the daffodils I put in last year have turned out to be marigolds
  4. The lace system is crap. Boa sent me a new set of laces when 1 snapped, since then the eyelet things the lace runs in has gone, all in less than 6 months. Unfortunately they were a mistake I won’t be repeating.
  5. Almost identical to the greenmech cs100. A perfect/blatant copy, good machines
  6. Look at bt business cloud phone, does same thing through your broadband box
  7. I looked into it a while ago. I believe no license is needed for a domestic bore hole unless your in a sssi etc but don’t quote me. If I remember right, Once you do anything commercial you need an extraction license.
  8. We get 90-100mph wind gusts fairly regularly down here, more so over the last few years, forecast them again fri but this time inland rather than just at the Needles!
  9. The sealey and Halfords are identical apart from the finishing touches. I’ve used both and they are equal in terms of quality as well as looks.
  10. Between the blades and the anvil. You need to get the gap even side to side.
  11. It’s mucking fisrable here 🌧🌪🌊
  12. That looks like a cracking bit of kit, I may have to copy that and make one 👍
  13. I used a Halfords one, it’s fine and just as good as the sealey and draper offerings which are all but identical. There all much of a muchness at that level. Spend big money and you will get better
  14. So what happens when you need to use the car that you have paid to own for the convenience of being able to go out in at any point you decide to, only to find the battery is flat because someone else fancied a cuppa?
  15. My wife says I have to many old filing cabinets, you have just won the argument for me 👍🤣
  16. You won’t find a nicer guy to deal with than Dave. We deal with him and he can get stuff to our Little Rock quicker than most, sometimes quicker than I can go to town for it, dealer location hasn’t been a stumbling block in the slightest. If he sells the machine you want I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. 👍
  17. There may be a small market (value and size) for the timber on your local adds site, however do not expect this to come close to paying for the works and be prepared to deal with lots of people wanting just small bits or it cutting up smaller or want to process it in your garden leaving the saw dust etc for you to deal with. - By the pics and videos you posted I got the impression this outcome isn’t going to flick your switch. there are a lot of good folk on here, ask for a couple of local guys to come and quote
  18. We use a Beal rope brush and warm water with a little washing up liquid in the sink. Then in the washing machine with a rope washer like Steve posted. Can’t say I’ve done it many times tho.
  19. Price them into the job. A quick tickle on site to get done is fine but proper sharpening just isn’t viable on a time(cost) vrs cost of a new tooth. grinding is so much better knowing the customer is paying for a full set of teeth regardless of if you need them. Put £30 on every job and keep smiling. also I think keeping good sharp teeth gives the machine less stress and therefore bearings etc last longer (paying for a big part of the teeth in the bigger picture)
  20. @Mark Bolam This any good to you? Avant 225 Compact Loading Shovel (ST11060) | RJ and KD McLean Ltd – Tractors and Plant WWW.TRACTORSANDPLANT.COM
  21. Grab bucket with removable sides covers lots of stuff, not quite as good as a dedicated grab for timber but that won’t carry rakeings or move chip etc. the blade on front of bucket will scrape mud from roads, move chip etc the list goes on. Also look at the micro bull from @Dave Alviti they have a have a huge amount of attachments and more oil flow than some if you want powered machines in the future ( grinder, flail mower etc)
  22. Will C

    It died

  23. Flat, sides will make it harder if you ever want to parbuckle timber up them.
  24. Do they cope with dry seasoned timber or just green?
  25. Make sure you get one with all 3 legs adjustable, with out that they are a waste of time. Not sure which make they are but the ones northern arb supplys do are good. I’ve worked off the 12ft one and it’s as stable as you could wish for. I wouldn’t want to go back to 4 legs.
