  1. That looks good for soaking your feet in A friend of mine bought a little unit from Maplins and it works well, only about £50. Small at .75 litre but it does what he needs.
  2. I was waiting for the "Hi O Silver, and away" at the end. The tension gets to everyone some time, he was well anchored fortunately.
  3. It's not Hardy
  4. Is dark weather ? It's very light here and not windy or wet at the moment
  5. Tree hugger ? Cause and effect, when you get a cure you can say "result ! "
  6. It looks like a tommy or claw hatchet for pulling nails, not on it's original handle. Belknap Bluegrass or True Temper made them along with a lot of other American firms.
  7. They asked Sir Edmund Hilary the same thing you know
  8. It has 1186 on it so it's even older. It's definitely an heirloom piece that though. For the OP if you can use it one handed it's a hatchet not an axe
  9. Must be good compression on that 460 to run diesel
  10. I don't think of Stihl as old unless they start with 0 like my 036 or a 2 if they are Husqvarna like the 266xp and they are still good saws.
  11. I think it's topsy turvy land of William Petts
  12. Choke and fast idle ? Once it coughs on choke the choke is shut off and fast idle engaged. It could be the linkage to the carb that needs tweaking, the piece of springy rod probably lost it's tension and needs bending a bit. The other one sounds like it might need to be a bit richer if the carb is alright.
  13. He did you a favour there I bought my 036 locally on Gumtree and was a bit suspicious when the seller wanted to meet me in a lay-by but it was his dinner break and the lay-by was outside the factory gate and the saw ran and has been a good one so far with a bit of work.
  14. It looks a big chunk of metal to carry about in a tree.
  15. Drag it out and get some demolition yard doors nailed to the back of the wall then see what the council thinks.
  16. Cavities or McVities ?
  17. There's a very complicated pdf about rapid in vitro detection if that's any use.
  18. They are called freeze plugs in some countries, not usually reused though. They are sold by size and don't cost much. Clean the hole out well and fit with a bit of sealant.
  19. Our little Hunter stove doesn't hold that much wood, I'll stick with my tried and tested paper, sticks then chunks method.
  20. I just asked next door's dog what the weather's like and he said "rough". It's wet and windy but he's no meteorologist
  21. I do it with the brake off so I can see when the clutch engages and starts the chain running.
  22. If I can't find any info I usually start 1 or 1.25 turns out on both and set the tickover up while keeping it running on the trigger then fine tune the L screw to stop any bogging
  23. About 50 mph wind here and stopped raining now but more to come.
  24. It's a Walbro, do the screws have limiter caps ?
  25. You say it starts with the brake off but does the chain run all the time as well ? Mine did that and the oil pump drive had seized to the crank.
