  2. Hi folks just got a jonsered 2083 turbo for a very good price. I am wondering if its possible to upgrade the pot and piston to a 2083 mark 2 which was 83cc instead of the 70 odd that the mark one was. Also if it is possible where are the parts available from?
  3. ive been a husky man for years but recently picked up a stihl ms640 and it is top class. but you still cant beat a 372!
  4. What like as that Makita? Heard good things. I had the 79cc was realy good but swapped it for a stihl ms 640.
  5. Evening all I own a stihl ms640 magnum among many other saws and am wondering what the difference is between a normal 640 and a magnum one. I have heard that there supposed to be a bit more powerful but by how much and in what way? As the 640 seems to be kind of rare would be interested if anyone could shed some light on it.
  6. That's what I was thinking. 2009 model sorry not sure about strato
  7. My 372 recently started running a bit mad. If you run her at full revs shes fine for about 5 seconds and then runs screaming and dies unless you back of the throttle. If your cutting at half revs she's fine although races a bit. Idles fine and starts and stops fine. I have cleaned the carb with carb cleaner/airline. Any suggestions?
  8. the stuff ive got the 10mm on is hybrid larch boards and its VERY windy. milled them about 6 months ago and there at 18% moisture content now with no mould or spliting/warping so not too bad!
  9. Graham, Andy, anything over 8" in diameter and between 1-3m in length would be excellent. Will take oak and anything a bit unusual!
  10. Thanks for the offer but have a fair bit of elm and really want to have a go at some cherry!
  11. What size spacers would you guys recomend when stacking timber and how far apart should they be? I currently use 10ml thick spacers roughly 14" apart is that enough ir should they be closer together?
