  1. love my 056 super, tad heavy mind but with a 36" bar aboard, she cuts real sweeet!
  2. Ive just moved that yew to a new drier location. I tell ya what though the colouration is stunning!!!!
  3. And from personal experience with 2" ×12ft boards they are tad heavy and takes 3 good men to lift and move! And take 1 tank of fuel, oil and 10mins percut. Good luck and i hope or presume you have a stihl 070 or 090!!!!
  4. My 064 is my best saw for power weight ratio and a gr8 climbing saw with the 36" bar on board. Id say keep it.
  5. Phfff. All this talk of porting and better performance and a great noise, i would suggest gettin one of these instead This was the saws first day out aftet rebuild.

  7. Shake free chestnut. Does that even exist!!!!
  8. An 051 would be an absolute min. Ive at 056 which is the next saw up but has plenty of torque. About same speed of cut as my 064. However i uee the 56 fir milling as i hate 2 use the 64 for millin as its a gr8 climbin saw.

  11. i had a big pear, 22" /25" 2 years ago i think, before i had a mill. made some lovely firewood!!

  14. hope you can get it in the door then without dismantling it!! I am keen to do a similar project, when i get around to it, or more prescisely get this Burr Oak milled up. Do you know of anywhere i can get some kiln dried Oak locally

  22. yes,yes yes yes and yes. wedge as you go, every 3ft or so depending on you thickness of plank. that woodis putting some serious weight on the bar and slowing you down. again, depending upon what length your cutting and type of wood, sharpen every 2 or 3 boards. s
