  1.:lol::lol: Going an to buy one and send it to spud. :001_tt2:
  2. Not sure why this is in the bloopers bit. It should be on maintenance help section....
  3. Ok. SO fair play to him for doing it. Engineering at it's finest I reckon. Safe, not a hope in hell. But then it's Russia so h and s isn't exactly top of there list. It does however remind me of a story on here not so long ago of the bloke who was using his disc cutter on logs and it kicked into his gut. Any else remember that? Wounder if it's the same bloke....
  4. Was going to ask as to why the lead climber didn't want to do it but you have answered that already. Honesty is always best. It's your health and well being you are looking after not your bosses.
  5. Now is the hand ones to do with a genuine accident or sprain/carpal tunnel syndrome and the like? Repetitive strain injury, etc etc etc.

    660 :)

Mod the exhaust. See how much better it runs after a re tune.
  7. Hammer socket and vice. Use to be my way until I got a tool.
  8. What he said. Training will give you more of a perspective of what may go wrong more than ensuring your doing it properly. Did anyone know the dangers of compression and tension before they got training? Or kickback zones of a bar? And I don't mean formal training either. You may have had a worker explain these before you went on a course?
  9. You do when you relize they should have a kickstart or starter motor attached.
  10. At first I was trying to figure out why you didn't use the crane to get the lumps down, but noticed you where tied to the hook. Clever use of block and tackles.
  11. I know but I've got a load of sheet steel left over from a previous job. So may aswell use that. Seen the panels and how to fit them. Just may aswell use the sheet. Then next time I can strip the landy right apart and take the body off. But for now it's getting plated.
  12. Question. Loads of welding need doing. So, cut out rotten stuff and plate on inside with weld on outside, or plate on outside weld on outside, or plate on outside and weld on inside? Foot wells and boot by the way.
  13. This has been on before. Think there was a discussion as to what actually happened to the pole on to he other side of the street.
  14. He's got skills. That for sure. Don't see a problem to be honest. The trees are on the deck ready for skyline. Paid for by the ton and that what he has done. I really can't see a problem. Without the camera it would have just been a regular day.
  15. Every digger should come with a timber grab as standard IMO. How do you lot get you diggers around? Using a fastrac and trailer. But not very good for long hauls I guess.
  16. They give a crime number for the ins companies. That's all. Call them back in a week and see if they can even find the number.... Batteries are a huge issue. Had some stolen from a 360, it was about 300 yards off the road and in a wooded area, had to climb over three fences and very rough ground. Still got stolen. And these are the huge batteries aswell. But as always it's not the theft that's the problem, it's the damage they do getting there. Bet that panel costs a fortune aswell.
  17. What he said, or quary buckets in layman terms. How many people knew they actually worked backwards compared to a shovel bucket?
  18. I hated the threads with a serious passion. I didn't really get the hang of it, got it to a point but just didn't get it to a high standard. It was pants.
  19. Used to do it a lot. But. The tele will be very slow if hydrostatic. And will struggle and not like it at all. If the load is heavy the hitch will struggle if lift it up at all. They really are not designed to tow anything one the road. Ok for shunting trailers around.
  20. yeah me too. Then they wounder why there open ends are all sprayed open..... Or they slip and they have no knuckles left. :laugh1: I will get some pics up of these tractors. But then by now everyone should know I'm rubbish at getting pics.
  21. Take the exhaust to local fabricators and just get them to braze it. [ame] [/ame]
  22. You could always get one of these and then just braze the existing outlet off with a plate. STIHL 066/MS650/MS660 EXHAUST FRONT COVER ONLY CONVERT TO DUAL PORT NEW | eBay
  23. Ok. It's nothing to do with the cleaning or greasing. It's the exhaust outlet near the handle and it heats the plastic up making it soft. But I'm not sure if this issue has been sorted on the newer ones. The older ones are prone to it. I'm now convinced by this after I blocked off the outlet and made a new one on the front of the saw. This cured the issue straight away.
