  1. I thought the bench thread was a book?? Even has illustrations when you can't be bothered to read. I think Barrie's idea is brilliant.
  2. So let them get on with it. I'm sure when it all goes wrong they will see the bad side of HSE, and the law suit that will follow. If the councils don't ask to see the right tickets then they will also see the dark side, and will a council office bod even know what tickets they should even have???
  3. Urgh. My list of mower I hate, MTD and countax. That's it. I have seen the broken weld aswell. It actually took me a few looks to see it tho. Must be catching up with you and Steve on the age front. Just couldn't get the deck to line up level, then saw the broken bracket.
  4. Also going to be on the scrounge soon. Got given a 036 and want a nice big juicy saw for myself. It needs a clutch, pull start assembly, that's about it for now but I'm sure it will need a few more bits. Oh and an ignition module.
  5. Just got it out the locker in the wash room. 346 xpg.
  6. Sorry thought everyone knew the joke, Yeah it really is just a name to brand it to the yanks. There is a small difference in power, the magnum has a bit more. But only to ensure it actually runs the biggest bar it can. In Europe we don't need or use 6ft bars. But the yanks use it a lot. I have seen a few using the large jonsered saws before.
  7. Yeah the vibrations from that chipper really need looking at :001_tt2::lol:
  8. In my world the 17t 360 with rotator grab will soon sort out what a ticket is needed for....
  9. And now is most of arb talk.:lol:
  10. Good luck. By the time they have had the bollard back, and the ratchet and looked at it all, then a month later you get a letter saying they believe it to be operator error, then you try and fight your corner. Not worth the headache. Just go buy a new ratchet strap.
  11. Hmm. 50 bar would be huge. The 088 would take one, but the power starts to go off the unit. There is a whisper of a saw called the 090, but rocking horse poo. In this country the ms880/088, if you look hard enough you might just find a magnum series. Maybe a 088 and get it ported out.
  12. First off a huge apology to gardenkit (Barrie) I have spent the afternoon in the hospital, went in after seeing the docs and he called ahead. So spent a while having a scan and they wanted the camera again to have a look if there was any change to be on the safe side. Anyway. Sorry Barrie, will do it on Monday. Anyway, a husky in picked it up on Wednesday, 346 xpg something or other. Stopped after a change in two stroke oil was used. Said it acted like a seize, yet there is no sign at all of a seize, piston a bore is spotless. Now I did hear about some sort of thing with a husky that if it doesn't read the oil in the fuel it stops the saw? Is this right? It was a change of oil from the red stuff to the purple stuff. Thinking it really is just coincidence, so giving it a go over at some point.
  13. Asked Barrie. Going to order the bits in a minute.
  14. It's when animal control turn up and start asking where the escaped gorilla is, that's when you have to think about it......
  15. Well the first problem is waiting for them to dry out......... Should be ok in a few months when this rain finally does one....
  16. We'll yesterday "was" a good day. Spent the day welding and making up the box and bits for the hillux tipper conversion I got in, just waiting for the bed to turn up. But last night I crashed badly. The usual being sick now but it's started to show sign of blood, so back off to docs today, had just enough energy to do a few posts. So today I've been "told" (very bossy my other half) that I'm to stay at home today. That's all well and good but I'm now worrying how long I can still carry on as let's face it all ok saying to rest and recover but the business will not last for very long without doing things. It's already starting to suffer a bit.
  17. Bugger it all. It's the 064 that I need a new drum for Barrie. Sorry. Just checked as to why it won't hold on choke or throttle either. There is a broken park on the choke linkage in the middle. So next question, is this part available.
  18. Wait until he sees the pics. Might just get a new one tomoz. Should be enough to send him into a panic attack and heart attack at the same time. Yep going to get a new one tomoz.
  19. Urgh MTD. the most stressful mowers on the planet, wait until he tries to replace the belts hey Barrie...... And then trying to set up the drive again.... That should make for some interesting posts  The husky ride ons are IMO very good, but still don't beat stiga. As with them all maintain them well and they will look after you. Also mulch deck so it's a weekly cut. Wouldn't leave it more than that or it will just leave big clumps of cut grass.
  20. It's the one I moved into just before Xmas. Will get one up tomoz as I'm just about off to bed bud. Stomach playing up a bit. Can you look for a drum for me tomoz please. Number on the one I have is 1122/02.
  21. Also looking for a clutch drum for the 036, part number doesn't exist so what's the equilivant. 3/8th 7 teeth.
  22. I would only use the flush if you have always used it. If you havnt used it before then it is more likely to push the crud into the oil channels rather than get it out. Learnt this the hard way.
  23. 064 was in today. Hadn't been run in a good few years. Piston was all good, comp was good. A quick check and clean of the carb. Filled with fuel, but the throttle won't stay half open when the choke is applied like saws normally do! And the choke isn't closing all the way. Had a look at the linkages and they are all there and moving properly. Just seems like there is something missing to hold the throttle open when going for full choke. Also no half choke either. So going to check the manuals. Oh and coil looked nearly new but no spark, so changed for one from a 026 and works a treat, the coil didn't look like it belonged to the saw. Will check the numbers. Work started on the hillux tipper conversion this afternoon aswell. God I love my new workshop.
  24. Hoping that you will do the tick over screw and not the high or low screw.
  25. no adjust the screw in before starting but be aware that the blade will spin. then bring the screw out until the disc has stopped, bearing in mind that the disc will take a while to stop spinning. if the disc doesnt stop spinning befrore the screw is all the way out then hold it against some concrete and see if the disc stops. if it tries to run away then there may be a clutch issue where the disc wont stop spinning.
