  1. It's there. Just need a few bits. The engine is there, need to get a bar when funds allow. And then attach it to the engine.
  2. Oh god yeah....... The tiles for kitchen floor have been in the shed since last summer. Have managed to dodge that bullet for a while. Plus the chores list. Rather be cutting and welding throwing sparks around burning holes in the coveralls.
  3. I fish from the back of a large boat that orange and blue. Always seem to catch fish. Oh and for the record it's not fishing it's chart depth checking.. Very important job that.
  4. I love bored days at the workshop. Start looking at what you could make. I keep looking round and woundering if I should start making a dune buggy.....
  5. Picked up an ms200 t today, and it's got the sort of fault I really hate. Will run rough now and again. Be a pig to go and die out on tick over. But as always will try and find the fault. After that it's a bit of a tweak required by owner. So this will be an on my own time at home job. It did react to adjustment on the low high screw. The chain also jumps a bit but the clutch springs are worn a bit so will replace them.
  6. Had to think about what was going on there. Looks like it defies gravity and it looks like it should fall the other way. Lol. Anyway, how are you polo???.....
  7. Fuel filters, air filter, spark plug. Recoil rope will be inspected but not always replaced unless it shows wear. Bar and chain will be checked and sharpened, bar will get a good going over and if needed dressed and nose sprocket greased. Saw will get a damn good clean out, clutch will be checked for working correctly. Drum will be checked and the drive sprocket will be checked. And notice given to replace. As for price everyone is different.
  8. What spud said. I have had them in where they don't retract and are stiff to pull out. Check the little thin washer is on the top aswell. Very light oiling. And a good clean on the spring and under part of the spring. The 200t is very common in the fact it just get filled up with crud and doesn't get the regular cleaning they require.

    026 melting

Agree with this. Look like a failure on the oil pump and needle bearing. Causing the drum to spin also on a weird axis, causing the drum to rub against the edges and cause melting. Heat through friction. Also a failure on the worm gear. Clean it up and check the crank bet there is a load of melted on plastic behind that clutch. The whole saw could also do with a bit of tlc IMO
  10. Must be one of them mountain deer......
  11. Well it is. If anyone has one bin it. Oh and the mod on the 660 worked a treat. Chain brake works as it should:thumbup:
  12. Well despite things a productive morning. Ms260 done and running nice. No apparent reason for the seize, just down to bad fuel mix I reckon. Ms200t done, taking a long time to get going, bogging down when cold. Clean the carb, nothing showed up. The high was turned past the 3/4 mark. So re tuned and running good again. And then the husky 435, what a pile of poo that saw is, the oiler is crap, the clutch system is crap. The chain tensioner is crap, and the bar adjuster is also crap.
  13. Email sent. I have misse all the last ones and I'm absolutely not going to miss it this time.
  14. Not that bad this morn. Have to make a trip to workshop tho. No choice. Need to sort an ms260 and a 200t, can't stop working for long. Just no heavy lifting. Got to take my hat off to modern medicine tho. I think it's brilliant. So now I have about a month until some tests can be done. Then I will find out more. But for about a week it's soft foods, so that means soup then. A trip to aldi for there soups is in order. Still on loads of tablets, some to keep the acid down, some pain relief, some to help my stomach empty. Thanks all so far. I havnt posted every detail I'm affraid, just the way I am, some things I just keep to myself and my missis. Plus I havnt actually told any of my family about it all yet. Lifeboat has been an amazing help and a great a bunch of lads. Just hurts when I cough.
  15. All ok I think. Was a bit suprised, in and out really. About 4 hrs in total, just got up after a long sleep. Time got put off until 2. Just a bit uncomfy now. Pain killers are awesome. Was even posting earlier from hosp bed. Now I'm off to sleep again.
  16. First, run the chain drive links in the bar groove with only two or three links in the groove, don't run the whole chain in them. Will narrow any tight spots. Remove drive sprocket and see if it's straight and not bent. Then rotate the drive shaft to see if that's bent.
  17. What happened to the old one? Try ride on mowers. Should find one.
  18. Bye. It's easy to see who knows what and in what area. And if you don't then it's also just as easy to ask. IMO most of the members are knowledgable and if something is wrong then it soon gets put right. The machinery part has some extremely good people there and they know there stuff, and I have always seen that the help given is always right and ideas are always put forward for fixes. Anyway, bye again. I'm sure you will be back at some point.
  19. You got a good memory. Maybe try the fuel tank vent. But the one I had was actually worn rings. They hadn't scored the pot, and there was no sign of a seize. I had to measure the width of the rings around, start at one of the open ends and work your way round using calipers or micrometer. Same symptoms and had me in circles. Let me know what the measurements are, there is no book talk to say how wide they should be, I had to measure some new ones. Edit. And the compression was a good reading aswell. Just shut down when it got a bit warm.
  20. Meter arm? Air leak, carb boot, coil setting, fuel filter, fuel vent, choke is working..... Could go one. Is the carb kit the right one?
  21. Yeah me too. You dung that 064 out yet?
  22. Removing lump, they did say all going well will be home Wednesday night, but should make plans to be in overnight just Incase.
  23. Well it's off to hospital on Wednesday. Should be all done and dusted by Thursday.
  24.:lol: It wasn't for a mod bud. Was a chain brake issue that I hope will sort it out. But it does snarl a bit now. Just need to get the flames:lol::lol: It has been a long time since I have done any brazing. Quite enjoyed it, made a change from the mig welding all day long. Took some practise, doing the round hole take a bit of doing stopping the braze from running off down the exhaust..
