  1. Not sure it's possible. The hole has been drilled out too much. It's huge now.the original hole is 13mm. The hole is now 15mm.
  2. Wish I could just eat at the moment. Let alone anything healthy. Making me feel Ill just looking. Hope you shift the bugs Paul. Sorry for a bit of a catch up what's going on then? You going into teaching, where you going for? And what about missis fox???
  3. Possible. Or there could have been another issue with the saw. Maybe it was running lean on the carb settings. Could have been another issue. It's fine fixing the saw with a new piston, but you would need to find any underlying reason as to why it has seized on you. Not sure if it could have been doing it before hand. These things can happen suddenly or over a short period of time. It can be saved. But again need to find the cause of this aswell as fix it, or you will fix it and it could happen again.
  4. Terminal I'm affraid. About now there is a good chance of saving the bore as unless it has scored it deep it could just be ally transfer. Keep going with it and it will score even deeper, be under powered and useless. And nothing worse than a saw seizing up good and proper half way into a felling cut. The seize most likely cause is running lean or neat fuel into it.
  5. Yep that's a new piston, might get away with cleaning the bore up, but will know when you take it apart. Not a tough job, just time consuming.
  6. A failed insert from an ms200t, the plug got blown out. So question. Do I get another insert and refit, or has the hole been made too big now. And new pot. If so does anyone have a pot for an ms200t knocking around that they wouldn't mind parting with for some beer money? Don't want to re do the plug unless I have no choice as since it's failed already no guarantee it will hold again. I didn't do the first repair by the way.
  7. Not sure yet. Havnt got it in. Just having a look as it doesn't spark and think it's low on comp. just looking at availability of parts. See if it's worth it.

  22. Also been looking at parts for a 064, looking at the lists looks like a 026,260 coils fit the 064, anyone confirm this please.
  23. And a picture of the piston from the ms260, not deep scoring but rather black lines. Rings are free and have the same pattern on them.
  24. Working from home today as I don't feel like going out. So, ms660 chain brake issues. All components look good and are working ok, so Tommorow is a brazing exercise and blanking off the existing outlet and creating a new one. Out of curiosity what do you use as an outlet on your porting jobs spud? Ms260, needs a new piston as it has been seized. The rings are free but some light scoring on the skirts and in the bore. So clean up and meteor to be ordered. Now my gripe over the 26 range. Why did stihl make a 44mm and a 44.7mm bore and piston? Just makes the whole, process harder, This one is measuring 44.68mm so will order the 44.7mm kit. And that's the bore size Also got a return of the husky 435, was told by owner that it was the oiler issue, but it turns out it was the oiler issue and a running issue in that it looses power in the cut. I guess partly my fault for not testing but still nice to know these things when they come in.
  25. Sounds like it could have been an issue that was there but not showing itself, and by doing the work you have brought that problem out.
