  1. Was at work. Done a couple of saws and some old relic of a rotovator. But home early.
  2. Damn straight, but my humour is of a 5 yr old.:lol: On another note the 660 has an exhaust mod and the hole is now out the front. And does anyone have the carb settings for a husky 435 please. It's ticking over and revving fine but the chain stops in the cut and it bogs a bit. Stupid carb screws aswell. Used a hacksaw to cut flat grooves in them.
  3. New springs, if the plates are moving around. The centre boss doesn't wear, just breaks.
  4.:lol: That's it you are really getting old. :001_tt2::lol:
  5. Question for gardenkit. If I remember right you do makita stuff??? Just need some bushes for a hammer drill motor.
  6. Including that of an arb talk member....... I like there breakfasts...

Might not be then. Looks the same. But then I've only seen it for a short period while I was working in the garage. Was white. Had a exhaust down the side and fuel tank on the back.
  8. Could be the pictures but looks like a complete needle bearing failure. The crank seals are replaceable, quite straight forward. Looks like needle bearing failure has also caused the clutch to undo and rattle around. Clean it up, re assemble and check it's all working, do it in stages checking each part carefully on re build.
  9. In a bad mood today. Just been out on the boat and when I got back the two crew mates that I was going on the course with where just leaving...... Really wanted that course.

I know where there is one of those coming up for sale soon. In white.
  11. Get a pic up. Easy to tell then.

Always going to be. And one day.... One day...
  13. Cast is difficult for any novice. The trick is heating it up red hot before welding and welding when red hot. There is no guarantee with it either. See if you can find a local fab shop and see if they can mould you a new one.
  14. Think it's the 391, was using one the other week and was really good.
  15. Guess I'm just not into much at the moment. Saw are getting done but at a slow pace. Just no get up and go...
  16. I reckon you lot are just getting too old. I have no problems seeing the numbers. They arnt that hard to see. The 260 carb meter arm is covered a few pages back. It's not on the tool as they carb is specific for stihl and not made for general sale, or I suppose for any other saw but the 260, so the height needs adjusting and then checking, it may need a bit more of a tweak. Throw it in some timber and see how it performs, just be carefull that it's getting enough fuel to not run lean. I must be lazy as I have done nothing today but go do a bit of shopping. Edit. I reckon I taught you too much Dave.
  17. Got to say it Dave. Sorry but that just looks awful. Just makes an ugly truck even uglier......
  18. But you can't tow it on the road legally.
  19. I know. Strange huh. The y must have been made in a cheese factory. By god did it make some noise. Sounded like a b52 going up to the workshop. My first thought was wheels and brakes. But then I got it over the pit and got it in the air, then turned the drive shaft and it went clunk clunk clunk click. It was a nice easy job really. Just had to blank off the box. So made a plate up and sealed it all up. Still be more fuel Eco now I guess  Just joins the many hundreds of freelanders that are now front wheel drive only.
  20. Not much today. Docs this morn. And just a haze of an afternoon turning a freelander from a 4x4 into a front wheel drive. Box had gone so removed the drive shaft and blanked off the gearbox end. Now all good.
  21. Been looking at this spark plug hole. There is definatly not enough meat around it to use a re tap. Unless it's doubled up and I just know that won't work. Ah well, new pot it is then. Will get some pics up of my brazing in a new outlet on the 660 later.
