  1. That's a shame. I have a 351......:lol: Yeah tell me about it. It's just annoying, customer even saw it working fine when he picked it up....
  2. Oh. And also thinking about chopping in my 351 for a stihl. Maybe a 026/260 or even a 03 series saw.
  3. Thanks. Will do the pipes the other way round. It did have a quick hitch but was taken off ages ago for a grab attachment that worked from the bucket ram. And just didn't get out back on. So it's now staying off for the rotator. To be honest it's easier on the machine to just change buckets with the pins. It's only a 3t machine.
  4. Ok, so I have to fit a rotator timber grab to a kabota 360 this week. The yawl ram isn't needed to going to fit some quick couplings to the ram so the pipes from that can be for the grab and the pecker circuit for the rotator. Never retro fitted one before as normally there is enough service pipes on them to fit the rotator. Should be an interesting fit. Anyone else fitted in this way before? Have you come up with any problems so far?? Oh and welding a bracket on the arm to hole the ram up out the way as the hitch pin couplings will be in the way of the roatator.
  5. A stihl pole pruner in. This has been in before, the chain is turning when turning the engine over, it has had a new clutch and was what I thought sorted, but when it went to be used it was as it was before the clutch went in. As with spud I take it personally that it is back in, it's really annoying. As I will get it so it doesn't spin, yet as soon as it goes back on site it plays up. Am I missing something in the clutch assembly and drum? Is the shaft just too far into clutch?
  6. Glorious day today. Been out tree working. Felling a nice pine. Then two Connie's. Could have been a nice spring day, but did start getting chilli in the afternoon.

  9. Have to share the love for the 660, had one in for the muffler mod to sort chain brake issues and tested it out. Plus was using one for wind blown call outs I was doing for a company on Saturday. And it just motored all day.

    Update, it was a 35 man raft, it was reported missing from a vessel, so once the I.D of it was found it was confirmed. Another one blown from a ship, but thankfully it was nothing bad. Boat was back in at 6am, and I have just got out of bed.

    1 oclock and lifeboat is out in search of a 12-16 man liferaft spotted in the english channel. update when more is known.

  13. This stuff. Granville Granville Bearing Fit & Studlock 5ml Sealant Car Maintenance Adhesive | eBay Never had a problem with it. It a not the same maker as what I use as I use the threadlock make. It's a bit like thread locking compound only for bearings. Just gives a bit of peace of mind and when applied wet I have found it helps the seal press in a bit easier.
  14. Done a repair on a 200t. It didn't last. So new cylinder, it sometimes just doesn't pay to repair, just replace. Trace of accountability.
  15. I worked my first day on call outs today. Never thought you could do soo many trees in one day. 5 in total. Beech, 2 Connie's, another that I couldn't identify, the one last Connie. Got to say I enjoys it all. Blooming knackered now tho. Don't think I put a 660 down today. Arms are killing me. But I loved it. Here there and everywhere. Can see why you lot like a drink at the end of the day tho. I could have killed for a cider tonight.

    30 and 31 will get you going. But the 38 will make you desirable to a one climber and one groundie team. Chipper tickets and CSCS tickets will also make you desirable, maybe the PTS for railway work if you so wanted.
  17. It's a bit blustery here. Doesn't seem powerful, but can hear some stuff being thrown around the garden. . Suppose to be worse Tommorow.
  18. We are on standby. Lots of ships are now going to anchor off deal beach. Winds down this way are getting up, later they are giving 60mph, Tommorow they are giving 70+.
  19. Used in New Zealand. Mainly for power line clearance. A lot cheaper than getting gangs to do it, and also take a fraction of the time.
  20. Well it doesn't fit on the bench, but I wish it would. My good old trusty land rover in the workshop. Decided I really need to get on with getting ready for an mot again. Footwell are rotten, boot is rotten. Suspension bushes are gone. So this morning I got on with the passenger side foot well as it's the one that needs less doing to it. Two hours later the last weld went on. Just one of those times that you start clearing the little bit of rust away and it just grows in front of your eyes. It now has three plates overlapping going from under and up the front. Only just managed to do the morning as I had to drop some tools off and pick up the 660 that I repaired as my brazing weld came apart on the outlet. So need to re do it. Was going to go back up but just didn't have the go in me. Thinking I might get the landy it's mot and then when I re tax it get rid of it. Just looking further forward and thinking that if it goes wrong will I be able to repair it. I know already that I couldn't afford to get a garage to do any work on her.
  21. It's back. There was an Xmas special. But now it's back 27th feb. Bbc three.
  22. Yup. But to find out what was going on I did drill the rivets. Wanted to find out why the pull cord broke, plus why the engine wasn't turning over. Had the drill out anyway, so just drilled it off so I could get a socket on the flywheel easily and turn the engine. Just meant less time in stripping the mower thus a cheaper way to see.
  23. That's easy to say. A saw must be stripped down a certain amount to be tested.
