  1. Been looking into this years holiday. Decided not to buy a caravan. Looking into hiring a campervan out instead. Actually quite cheap when you look at them. And just means we can drive and stop. Looking into sites along the routes. We want to go Cornwall, then up to Devon then probably a nice drive back home.
  2. Keep your eyes out Barrie. I'm booking a summer holiday to Devon soon, will be looking you up.
  3. I know but not saying. I get told off for telling too quick. And no I won't say if anyone pm me.
  4. What's you lifting capacity on the grab. The botex I have fitted is 1500kg.
  5. Might be wrong but shouldn't there be a big mates plate tht sits over the whole lot under the clutch?
  6. Doesn't really take much out the day tho does it??? Plus it means I can get off the seat and stretch my legs.
  7. Seen loads. Makeshift bungee for chipper throttle. A piece of wire for a choke switch on a saw. Used masking tape when my belt broke. Electrical tape just about replaces any part you will ever need. Used string for a throttle before when accelerator cable broke in car.
  8. Fitted the botex grab today. Having hyd pipes made up is damn expensive. Had a few issues with where to run the pipes so they are out the way. Fitted to the ram and picker. Works really well. Just didn't relies how much the swing around. Will take a bit of getting used to.
  9. It was on that weird site called arb talk or something.
  10. Same, after a reccomend action from the almighty one.
  11. Bone dry. Only place I will find is in the carb, but not enough to see if there is oil in it.
  12. An annoying one came in. Ms260, came in about a month ago. Lean seized piston. Meteor piston in, and tested the saw passed all the tests. Crank case, pressure vac test, fuel tank vents. Compression test. Etc etc etc.... Came back today after about 30 mins of light use, seized again. Now I know this saw was perfect when it left, I had put a tank in it hard logging, then re tested it all and put another half tank ish through it. Tached it aswell. Strange thing is it came to me with the fuel tank bone dry. Just can't get my head around it. Oh well.
  13. Nope. Just a money making scheme. I got the same with my disco. Lucky I don't go anywhere near London. It's all about money. Ok they want to lower emissions, but all those double deckers are spewing out black smoke by the truck load.
  14. Shame really. Wouldn't want a northern monkey to get hold of any big dolly saws now would I. The export costs to up there are huge....
  15. Must be a northerner thing then.....:lol:
  16. I've stopped the mowers, not taking any in. I would rather that than get over whelmed.
  17. Kabota 360 has it's new starter motor in. What a PITA that was. Seat out, panel out, and just trying to get my hands in there...... Van had a new exhaust. Not mine. Just waiting for the timber grab for the 360 so I can fit that. Ms660 done. Ms200t that went for a swim on Saturday. Very lucky this one, a clean out and a few cups of water from the exhaust and crank case. Clean carb, new spark plug. And runs like a dream. Ms250, sharpen and bar dress. Looking forward to the arrival of a Renault b120 4x4.
  18. I have seen that before. Finally got one up on you Barrie..... Lol. Another annoying part of people not cleaning out there mowers after they have used them....
  19. There are some pics in the bench thread somewhere. Will exclude some jargon on this. When you took the carb apart you would have taken the side off with the four screws, under this is a black diaphragm, it has a metal disc on the middle. Now on the carb body is a small flat lever type part, this has a small spring under it, and is held by a bar and a screw to the side, near the screw will be the end of the lever, this has a drop pencil type valve on it going into the carb body. This is the meter arm and valve, it works from pressure pushing down the the diaphragm thus pushing on the lever thus lift open the valve. And this allows fuel to flow. The hight on a 200 carb should be level with the carb body, this is easily checked with a flat surface, I.e, a me tell ruler edge across the body, the arm should just touch the ruler edge, if it is too low the arm can be bent up gently with a flat screwdriver, or the reverse if too high. Now this doesn't really sound like your problem. It does sound like it a bit rich and is taking it's time to warm up and burn the extra fuel. Could also be too much oil in fuel, or even the fuel itself, is it fresh.
  20. ok. first is it a 200t or just the 200? the gromet is part of the breather and is a bit of a one way valve. if the saw stops when its jerked then i would look at the carb boot for splits, if it does it when rotated from side to side (turned from up right to its side and then the other side then it may be crank seals leaking, but more info is needed? does it rev higher then normal or bog down? if it revs high then air leak in system, if it bogs and dies then an over rich mixture is to blame. clean air filter, clean carb and check meter arm hieght. i would doubt very much if the valve mushroom shape part is the problem, i have seen many saws without that part work fine. a good way to eliminate this is to slacken the fuel cap a bit and see if it runs or not, not very easy on a 200t as holding the saw flat without getting fuel leaking from cap. also check to carb settings are on factory.
  21. What of poking a floppy thing in a hole......:blushing::lol::lol::lol: Think that will get you a lifetime ban, and your knowledge is way too valuable here.
  22. Yes really. As you are giving me abuse on messages on Facebook so I know I'm right. Lol.
