  1. yep it just died. edit my count to 10. i dont know if its Because they are pygmys But my Billy doesnt smell half as Bad as my old full size goat did.
  2. Anyone on here an experienced goatman or woman? i got 11 pygmy goats. They are funny little things. i do however have an 8 week old one that is under the weather, not sure he is going to pull through anyone else got goats?
  3. i used to use a set that were constant 2 way. they were wicked! used to make up pop master questions O and they were very helpful with rigging and large dismantles
  4. You could sell it to me
  5. Timberwolf i used some of the older one and found them very willing machines. the rollers seemed to have more bite to them and seemed to throw the chip better than the newer ones i have used. especially a 150 tracked version which was pants all round!! Jensen. sorry it is a 750 contractor as in under 750kg for towing. it is almost the same machine to look at but again they seem to drag the brash in more willingly and because of the turbo the anti stress seems to kick in less than it did on our old a528. but both machines have a narrow hopper
  6. the early timberwolf 150 chippers where pretty good. using a jenson 150 contractor at the moment and that is a little beast. its a small chipper that chips like a big chipper! very little snedding needed. hammer time
  7. hi stu, give hi-line a ring. i know they are on the look out for more people.
  8. the best climber i have ever known didnt even know what a side strop was untill a couple of years ago.
  9. i bought a 066 for £300. it is in good condition and runs sweet apart from the holes where the dog teeth bolt to are defunkt. but i am sure i can sort that. seems to handle the 36 inch bar well. and i find it a lot more maneuverable than an 88 with a 4 foot bar. try a felling cut with the 4 foot and it just pulls a sad face!
  10. i had a similar thing once with a 357xp.. the problem only started when i put a new tank on. i could start it if i poured petrol straight through the main air part of the carb and kept the throttle pinned. soon as you off throttle it died. my local mechanic fixed but said he couldnt remember what the problem was?
  11. if you are in the right place at the right time you can get something. a friend got a h reg defender for 800 notes!! he has had no probs with it and the previous owner had a 300tdi put in it. as far as land rovers go its alright. i got a written off fourtrack for 300 quid. put a new rad in it and ruffly straighted out the panels and it then went straight through its mot!
  12. we used to have a haki pilki on a db 990. had to take it steady pulling away as it like to whellie!! lots of weight needed. a mate has pallet forks on the back of his 35 and lifting a wrap of mill of cuts is enough to bring the front of the floor
  13. i never knew that the world of hedge trimmers/ cutters was such a minefield?!? i was just going to get the stihl long handled job. seemingly done a good job in the past. but then again i didn't hang around long enough to notice bruising, too busy tarmacking the neighbors driveway!! i have never used the echo or danarm and just assumed the stihls where good enough. will follow thread with interest.
  14. just a haunch
  15. the timber is provisionally sold. Thank you to for all of the lovely messages. We had an overwhelming response and i was struggling to keep up with it all. Will pm people if the sale doesn't go as planned. kindest regards Mark
  16. sounds like you av already been on the sauce!
  17. the truck is not a permanent feature in the barn. and it needs re roofing. so not as dry as it seems. stuff gets pretty wet when it is windy and raining. had a foot of snow in there a couple of weeks ago. and one corner is a foot deep with water. O and only 4x4 access if i was as rich as carl i could do a lot of things with it but as it stands it will do for hay and straw, which were out of shot, and the goats and or calves which inhabit the other side.
  18. mother in law made elderflower champaign, it was rocket fuel!!! i have made lots of beer using the kits. 40 pints for a tenner!! do the maths!!
  19. i can see that chewing up the tires!! but yes i would take it if it was offered
  20. i am in no way gripped by stress or depression but used to flip out (loose my rag/ throw my toys out the pram) at the smallest things and end up breaking things i was trying to fix and finding that things where never going my way. then i found that going to bed at 9 or 9.30 has made everything better. now if something goes wrong i think logically and think that there is always poor bugger worse of and that my problem is not all that bad. i have a friend that was crushed by stress, he just took to much on and was burning the wick at both ends. eventually he ended up in hospital. he is recovering now with still minor episodes. i find that after talking to him he fells much better.
  21. here is my set up.. as you can see, i have a high output splitter there and a shed with a roof- when it rains i sometimes think it might actually be dryer outside the barn than in!!! trying to keep keep up with demand. the one cube i sold this year almost cleared mme out!! i have a lot more in there now mind. the pic was taken in the summer time i think:thumbup:
  22. yeah. if you want to get yourself into kayak then the first port of call is to try and find a local canoe club. they should have boats, kit and plenty of advice. It is good to try out lots of different boats. i see it too many times where a newbie walks into a kayak shop, the shop assistant sees pound notes walking in, and ends up buying one of everything. and often the case they end up with gear that is not appropriate for them. secondly have a look at ukriversguideook, that is a kayaking forum which also has a private sales section where you can buy second hand boats and gear. i never buy new boats as they are so exspensive. you can pick up a decent river running kayak for 300-350. if you know what you are looking for you can get stuff cheaper. my boat is about ten years old and i got it for £175 it does the job fine. i always like to show people up who have all the latest shiney gear.
  23. i dont tghink the peugeot partner is the ideal tree wagon:001_smile: the exhaust was hitting the floor when i went over bumps!
  24. i teach with the local canoe club. there is a lot of older people. that take it on. you dont have to kill your self to have fun. everybody is different so everybody has different goals i started when i was 14. i paddled a river in spate the other day, something i never used to bat an eye;id at then, and pretty much shat me self but had fun. something tells me i might be loosing me bottle!!
