  1. I have been using the art one with the cocoon pulley, it's the muts and has been for all the years I have been using it. I can only recall it getting stuck twice in the last ten years. I think it is the design of it. Only trouble is it is an expensive piece of equipment to be smashing to tarmac from 50ft upon retrieval, I should lower it down but never have. Due to be replaced. I do use srt a bit, particularly for access. When I came to the art pulley saver I could not believe the difference in friction between that and a regular ring to ring one I had been using previously!
  2. I have had the sip keiu rain jacket for the last couple of years ( maybe 3 years), been pretty decent recently replaced it with the same again.
  3. Yeah I use radmoors a fair bit. But still too far to drive. Always happy with the service provided and would recommend. Latest battery husky hedge trimmer was delivered next day from them. Honey ordered Friday arrived the following Friday with delivery charged at £9.99. Is what it is I suppose, nobody died I got my goods but I do feel like the delivery charge is a bit steep for the timescale.
  4. Sometimes it amazes me how quick delivery can be. I once ordered two drums of chain oil from Clark forest, in Scotland, in the afternoon and the oil was on my door step at 10 the next morning. It was like someone had got my order amd driven it straight down to me in porlock.
  5. No notification from honeys saying they have been dispatched.
  6. Based down on the arse end of Somerset we are not exactly spoilt for choice when it comes to arborist supplies so most of it comes from the internet. I predominantly used tree kit which and occasionally honeys. Well obviously tree kit has been amalgamated into honeys since sheril took over the reigns. Used to be free delivery, Iirc, now you pay, not a problem but it always takes bleddy ages. Ordered something Friday, in-stock apparently, and still not here. Same with the previous order. Anyone else have the same issue or is it postcode discrimination or worse still a personal Vendetta that I am unaware of
  7. After somebody, could be a groundsman or a climber to assist with tree work in and around the Minehead area. Part time up to a couple days a week. If you interested please get in contact.
  8. I used to be dead against it, 15 max on a 550. Then I got older, tried me mates one, yes this is the life, longer bar you don't have to bend down so far! You can get through bigger diameter logs when chugging down or felling, What's not to like, of course the chain isn't running up as fast as it would on a 15 but hey I don't care anymore, and i don't really notice it. One thing I never understood was putting a 3/8 chain on a smaller saw, had many a disagreement with regards to the merits of this set up, call me a bigger but my mind will not be changed on that! But you can try as I am a reasonable person.
  9. As mentioned before I reckon, as long as the electric fuel pump is working, that it will be an air leak. Check the fuel lines or replace, fairly cheap job and easy to do.
  10. I tried a pair of pfanners with the boa closure. For me it just got tight at the top and not enough lower down! Didn't like it so sent them back.
  11. I remember the late naughties when spoons were doing recession busters and it was 99p a pint, ruddles county was order of the day for my self. Haven't been in there for a 5 years or so, literally stank of shite when I last went in, I thought this is an absolute dive so haven't been back, if me mates are heading that way after cycling I'll just go home instead! Minehead btw incase you want to avoid it.
  12. I am an avid cyclist, I used to ride an old 80's road bike with panier rack and paniers. Chainsaw boot in either one, a 1.2litre flask and my lunch and clothes. Soon gets easier, I had some steep hills, then I moved so I had to crawl up to the highest point in Somerset on route to work. As my step dad once said "no better drug than fitness", he was an avid toker! A set of padded shorts underneath could be beneficial if you find your getting a sore arse. Mind you if you don't cycle at all it will take a little while before your arse hardens up and things get easier. O and go for padded shorts over a padded seat, the shorts move with you where as the seat doesn't. Bloody E Bike, What's the matter with you ya wet blanket!
  13. Yes I would agree the modern stuff is a lot more powerful, I have had no experience with a lot of the modern car tech as the newest we got at the moment is two 2013 motors! The 20 year old transit is just about doing the business but needs some money spent on it, water leaks, oil leaks, hydraulic oil leak etc, I have to respectfully decline any quote where the have a nice block paved driveway! The price of stuff is mental, probably count me in as one of the moaning old strokers, but stories of clutches every 20-30k, wet belts, ad blue, dpf filters.... Hmm maybe it's worth revamping the old dog !
  14. I listened to some talk by a women and it was about learning in schools. Obviously about retention of knowledge but saying how actually writing stuff down lodges in our brains better then work on screens, lots of schools do stuff on tablets and laptops. I for one know that if I write stuff down in a diary I will be more likely to remember it! If only I could find where I put that diary! As a consequence of loosing said diary I now use the calender on my phone, helpful because my wife can add stuff to the calendar.
  15. In the 10 years I have been using the art rope guide I have only had it not come out of the tree once! Admittedly I am not a full time climber, used to climb more frequently back in the day but regardless I am.always impressed with it!
  16. I think governments, our government, have been chatted up by tech owners, letting them have free reign, for the greater good etc. surely based on the environmental impact alone it can't be judged as good. But then the internet is the same as well as social media. Remember when forums used to be mint before Facebook became top dog. Would you say it's any good on Facebook? Thank goodness the reliant scimitar forum is still going great guns! Proper
  17. Mitsubisihi outlander. Quite a compact thing, tows alright. Pulls well.
  18. I mean the concept of AI sounds great, but I would say it's created by billionaires for billionaires. The fact that it just repeats any old mumbo jumbo found on line then treats it as fact, then people treat it as fact. More and more people are relying on it day to day. Each search AI search 68g CO2, a regular Google search without AI 0.2gCO2. imagine how much people are using this day to day, and the emissions produced. The government keen to press on into the unknown with AI whilst in the other hand saying we need to reel back to protect the environment. https://share.google/eVSFKBnYsBEHS4iQu
  19. Feck sake🤦🏻😂
  20. Looks like the portal to somewhere sinister
  21. I have just purchased a red led lamp to go on my .177 for rats, yet to give it a go but the light was £12.99, can't get any cheaper than that.
  22. Op states that the towbar mounting had been cut off by previous owner
  23. Yes and seeing as though mine has split all from the base it would seem that the Flexi is required. I think one of the yanmar exhaust cut down and paired with a Flexi should do the job. The only thing I need to work out is how secure it above the Flexi, maybe just a bracket on to the top one the bonnet.
  24. Just spoke to a helpful chap at greenplant, standard trailed 150d version is around £300. The correct one for the tracked job is over £600😳
  25. I need a new exhaust for my tracked 150, ones for the trailed one say they don't fit the tracked version, What's the difference? I remember sometime when I looked previously the tracked exhaust was more expensive 🫰🏻 Having owned both, trailed and tracked at the same time, since sold the trailed, is couldn't see any difference other than the trailed one had a stainless sleeve shoved over the top where as my tracked diversion does not. #edit it is a diesel model
