  1. where are you based then my man?? glad to hear it is all gone
  2. i do a lot of kayaking and if i am on a slow/ easy river in the winter i get real Bad hands. yet if i am on a river where i am paddling for my life they seem to Be fine! now i exclusively risk my life in order to keep me hands warm! sometimes one or two fingers go white and dont seem to come Back unless i put it on a heater or actively warm them.
  3. cizza. we are all real ale connoisseurs up on the moor! cant get enough.. useually cause the puB shuts!

  6. not sure i would get a polaris myself But was fun to have a rip on. he had a Big yam as well, grizzly or something like that, that had a winch and rear linkage- Bulky Bike. i would get a honda. easy to work on and parts are easy to get.
  7. i was stood round for a couple of hours while on my cs40 the other day. it was an icy wind and i was freezing, By time i actually got to the tree my hands were kinda numB to touch and i hadnt the strength to open a Biner. i then had to spend half an hour in my van trying to warm my hands up. it was pretty painfull much like they are Badly Bruised and some one is wacking them with multiple hammers from my finger tips to my wrist!! yum managed not to cry... mummies little soldier. i find gloves are good as long as my hands are warm Beforehand and i got to keep moving otherwise i just as well leave them Behind. think i might go to the doctors when i get a weekend off... they open Boxing day?
  8. i got a friend who deals in second hand quads here in somerset. tis mainly hondas that he has although he does get others. i tried a polaris 550 sportsman the other day and By god does that thing shift!!! hydrostatic, 0-96kmh in no time at all.
  9. i dont know why this happens.... i go and look at the job then get overly optimistic!! example: looked at a large birch to reduce in height by around 50% and to shape. also had three apple trees to remove. i told her my price and she accepted. did the job a month later but thought in some deluded moment that i would fit all of the brash in the back of my fourtrak van and was thinking it would of been an easy day, what an idiot!! i had finished the cutting by lunch time, birch looked real sweet but i had barely one apple in the van!! so had to drive 20 miles to a mates to borrow his trailer. Had it about 12ft high and hanging off the sides by about 4ft!! i wouldnt say i lost money but didnt make as much as i thought!!
  10. My wife was trying to be sexy last night. She lay on the bed licking a lollipop, then she started slowly sliding it into her love box.I said "steady on love, you'll need that to see the kids across the road at school in the morning

  14. nice, looks like a handy tool. would love a loader on mine..
  15. i was borrowing my mother in laws pug 205. hit some water at a rate of knots, made it out the other side but it was knocking like a pig and well under powerd. got down the road and it made a bit of a crunching sound.. con rod 4 had bust through the engine casing and actually snapped the starter motor off!! it still ran when you bump started it thou!!
  16. you got the wrong tense there... 'was the smoothest engine'. i picked up an engine last year for £100, only needed it for the injector pump and injectors thou.. wound the pump up... plenty of black smoke but by god did she go. that was a partner van. i am not secure enough with my sexuality to drive a xantia
  17. i am in the same boat as thi chap but i am self employed at the weekends only- i work mon to friday paye. i was hoping i could get away without an accountant- my predicted self employed earnings are not going to be mega bucks..

  20. The dark side is calling you
  21. well the woodlands around me are not in good order. i am not against the shoots because it brings a lot of revenue to the area. i was just making a point about the rich gettng the money from the FC. but on the point of well managed woodlands... there is one chap who is getting the most out of his woodland. he owns friken loads of land round me. he has a pheasant shoot. sells logs and kindling (vans going out all day every day) and has a down hill mountain bike track down through it. that is a good example. on the other hand.. a big land owner who has a couple of large shoots. does absolutely nothing in terms of woodland management. the opposite of my first example.
