  4. one step at a time boy chap. a cambium saver cost 25 quid once we start adding the word 'ART' in to the equation we start to be stretching the budget a bit more. i climb with a 2 ring joby and have absolutely no problem with it what so ever. Mind you there is people out there that have been climbing for years (good climbers as well) and use prussics and both ends of there rope!!

  6. Dismantling a large ash over a caravan... All was well, untill I went to rig of a 10ft section about 10inch accross. Some how it managed to swing right round the tree and smack me in the back. A bit winded I carried once I had finished I could not bend down to pick up my ropes, absolute agony!!! But I should imagen it was funny to watch and most importantly the caravan remained untouched

  8. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/vbpg2image.php?do=full&p=596&d=1308740069 the link shows a happy. i was under the illusion that an extra rap was then a 'super' happy but i think it may be called a distal.. either way i find it to pretty dam good. got it as a knot on my side strop as well. done well with minimal slack it has a lot less 'sit back' than the vt.

  10. i got whacked in the back a fews year back whilst rigging a big bit of ash, a case of inexperience me thinks. now days i just have to pull on a piece of brash a bit to enthusiastically and thats me of to chiropractors. shooting pains every which way, not so much a limp more of the 'pass me a clean pair of y fronts i just had an accident' style waddle. The sort of look every tree surgeon needs

  12. lucky for me weston power distributions rules say that we have to sit in the truck, away from the lines, if we can hear a storm. furthermore we ave to wait 15 mins after the last rumble of thunder. happy days, the joys of being employed
