  1. I should be getting a nuffield 4/65 that has a 6 cylinder in it!! Hopefully that will bring in the winnings!
  2. I think the answer is to get your own water supply. That way you don't have to be subjected to the drugs/ chemicals that they treat it with. Some times my water can be coming out of the tap muddy brown colour, yet it still doesn't taste as bad as the revulting mains water!!!
  3. My mum used to run her discovery, me a kangoo, on heating oil for a couple of years with no detrimentle affects. It used to start on the button, unuseual for a landy I know, everytime!!
  4. A man enters his local, after a long day at work, to find their is a new machine in the corner. he wanders over to find that it is a sex machine and at only 20p it is worth a gamble... so he puts his old fella in the hole and, thrusting away, has a wail of a time- well worth the money!! Next day he wanders in after work and sees that it is now £1, he drops the £1 in the slot and off he goes. as before, well worth the money. next day he goes in and see's that the price has jumped up to £5!! it doesnt take much to persuade himself that it was loads better than what was on offer at home so pops in the note. As before a damn fine 30 seconds! next day he goes in and is astonished to find that the price has doubled and is now £10!! This time it takes a while for him to decide that he is going to go again. so he slips himself in.. As quickly as he has slipped in he whips his wanger out in to see that it has been absolutely shredded!!! The chap shouts over to the bar man.. 'Look what you machine has done to my knob!!' bar man ' o sorry mate, i must have stuck the dog in the wrong way'
  5. looking good. i used to drive a massy 3095, was a right Beast!! used to tow a timBer trailer and also used it for winchining
  6. i have a 3 month old 550. twice i had it where i couldn't start it hot but i think i was flooding it. i have stopped using the primmer bulb now. to start choke on... pull (usually 2-3 times) till it fires. choke off (onto half choke) pull again and then its allive!!!! havent had any problems since i stopped using that bulb
  7. the strap wont fail you drama queen:001_tt2:
  8. the petzle sequoia non srt is better than srt version, in my opinion, for what thats worth!
  9. wood gasifaction boilers and accumulator tanks are brilliant. if i was in a position i would fit one in my house. akvaterm tanks lose 1c over a 24h period!! mental stuff. little bit more efficient than my wood burner and back burner!!
  10. do you let something like that season before you get going?? season in the length or???
  11. i got a 50m which hardly ever gets used apart from big trees. also got a 10m and 25m, variety is the splice of life i use the small rope quite a lot so easy not haveing to pull loads of rope through whilst redirecting
  12. There are a number of log boiler supliers that only supply log boilers this would be a massive blow for them. I am sure they are going to be fighting for these proposals to be changed.
  13. This strikes me as another crazy idea. I used to eork for a firm selling and installing wood gasifacation boilers. Most people have bought these in the hope that the rhi would be sorted soon and now they are going to get bugger all. A pellet system is generally a lot larger than the log system, as in having to have a bin/ hopper for the pellets and furthermore there always seems to be problems with the auger systems. Lot more moving parts more to go wrong!! As in previous post it the hard working one man log company that will lose out here because I can't see wood gasifacation boilers selling now!
  14. I am toyoing with the idea myself. But it would be a slow build. Ie buy a pallet of blocks as and when I can afford it so I don't end up having a wacking great mortgage.
  15. dont get me started on the price of fuel!! anywhere i go it is 20 quid minimum!! something that you really need to take into consideration when delivering!! i suppose a tipper might be more economical than a 4x4 and trailer, although i can get a cube in the back of me fourtrak but gives of the wrong impression me thinks.

  17. i think you want a purdey and not a purdy!! my girlfriend is a purdey and gets narked off when people spell her name wrong:sneaky2: i think the firework is a good one or a french banger in a log. or how about rigging the gates up to the mains and again a camera to watch those cnuts fry!!! ha ha

  19. this is the problem , i want a nice pair of boots but its a lot of money to spend if they dont last very long. i bought a pair standard wheelies from b&q that lasted me years and only cost me 15 quid!! they unfortunately got torn on barbed.

  22. I felled some sycamore which were a pain to get down, leaning wrong way etc. Got em back my place cut and split it. Stacked roughly a cube on pallet and thought to myself I can't charge 60 for that.!! I feel asthough I do that a lot in general with my work thou and that's probably why I am where I am and not on a yacht somewhere!!

  25. i work with the little 750 contractor. it is 6 inch and is a turbo. good chipper but i prefer the timber wolf controls. the nudge bar is a bit sensitive and you cant always tell whats going on at the rollers when the hopper is full of thorn. but it chips a lot better that the non turbo version we used to have!!
