  1. that is bad. they should be ear tagged so i would of thought they would be hard to shift legitimately. i have one pygmy weather (castrated male), 3moths old, for sale if thats any consolation. i have some land that is close to the road and i am scared to put my goats in that field in case some lowlife pinches them. my little brother has set up a daffodil stall, 50p a bunch. he has had the money stollen, the paste table and even the bucket. it seems there is no depths theses people will not lower themselves too.!!
  2. i pay 35 a month with trust ful arb stylie, but i have very low turn over as i am only working the weekends self employed. they seem very helpful although i haven't claimed yet and try to keep it that way
  3. 99.9 a litre, on pump, up near me
  4. how many wraps around the tree??
  5. Exmoor gold, even better if it is on tap. Exmoor stallion is another good one.

  7. my post was in jest but i think it may be a little to late now
  8. that sounds more like it. i suppose you have to weigh up price and quality. was going to print my own but didnt think they gave the right impression.
  9. a tipper?!? i am hoping to buy a pick up but the money is too much at the moment. have to make do with kicking the logs out of the back of my van. we all have to start somewhere and some of us with no bank loans or start up funds
  10. yeah looks that good i would climb on it!!
  11. o and i also have my cs40. so i suppose i could prune the tree to the ground:lol:
  12. i had been climbing for a couple of years and went for my 39 last year. there was three of us on the assessment and it ran from 9am till 5pm, the assessor was very thorough! as part of my assessment i had to spike up a woodland sycamore (i had taken the branches off on my training, so was left as a very tall stick), we had to do all the cuts on the stem, effectively dismantling it- the sling was used with a rope so was pulled over from the ground.
  13. i run a 9t on my 66. i run it with an 18inch bar and a 36 and have no problems with either, well apart from the 18 inch bar is very lively! hot knife through butter!!!!!
  14. thats how i roll. low overheads with no tool to maintain
  15. I started off my career in arb 6 years ago working for £60 a day for a one man band. after a year he let me go. i had no tickets and found it hard to find another job. i managed to get a government funded position at college (because it was my first level 2 qual no a levels etc) which allowed me to get my 30,31,38 and a NA in arb. Whilst at college i had a part time job who took me on full time when my course finished. i went from that job to another one on the powerlines. 6 years after starting my career in arb i am now on £65 a day. i know the job from the ground up and am a willing worker so i am about to take the plunge into self employment borrowing a trailer and various bits. got all me own saws and climbing kit etc so here go's. there was a few chaps on the college course who had been given money. they were going self employed with out any experience. good luck to them but i think you need the real experience!!!
  16. they look very impressive. do you mind me asking what price you where paying for 2000? regards mark
  17. yeah better that way then the usual one i get. o yes mark dont worry about brushcutting you will be tied up all day on this fallen tree okay john an hour later and its all ringed and staked. hourly rate so havent even earned my fuel!!! GRRRRRR
  18. i used to use a yr 2000 l200, absolutely gutless. you had to be thrashing it about to get anywhere with a trailer. on the same estate they had a j plate disco that was registered ag and absolutely hanging. it which would pull the pants off the L200 any time of the day!!!!!! the disco would pull at any revs where ads the l200 required high revs. (not a land rover fan by the way)
  19. a firm i used to work for had single cab with lockers behind cab. again not 4x4 pro's -turns on a sixpence -short -holds a big load -pulls well with a load and chipper cons -when cold and empty the back wheels would lock up with even the most gentle touch of the brakes which led to the drivers seat being nibbled up! (okay more like munched) -expensive on parts and there were maybe more cons but it was a few years ago i was driving them
