  1. I have been told that they have heavy duty plating underneath meaning the sump wont be taken out on stumps etc.
  2. have you got a ladder rack? we used to drill large holes in the top corners at the front of the side and front boards then run a rope right through them and the ladder rack. Then drill a hole in the ply (to the rear) just above the ifor sides and tie that to one of the hooks underneath. job done
  3. i think there is a knack to mewp work. so on your first attempt you may find it slolwer. once you have it dialed i find it less fatiguing
  4. Hello. Had my friend do a job for me today with his tracked timberwolf... When putting/ shoving the brash in it was not pulling it in very well and at times you had to wrench the branches about to get them to chip. This is different to when I first used the chipper a few years ago when it smash anything you to get to the rollers! It is on about 1200 hours and I was wondering if the springs on the feed rollers would be the issue? You can pull the springs out of there seat with no trouble at all! Any thoughts or experience of this problem? Thanks mark

    sports

I am a keen kayaker. Never been to hot on team sports- i would say it is because i dont relying on others when in actual fact it is that i am crap at most of them!!
  6. think about that knarly thorn hedge that needs topping off, head hight, under th lv- o and its three spans long. yeah pass me the keys to the mewp!!
  7. like i said tdc, at least in my budget, a super cab seems to demand a higher price. i was looking around for one a month ago and the cheapest 55 plate l200 clubcab i could find was 5k!!! thats pretty much 5x my budget! but that would be with in the OP's budget.
  8. yeah a king cab would be the way to go but they seem to fetch a high price. i would take what ever comes my way but think i would prefer a double cab so i can make some decent tool storage and have somewhere to hang my coat up
  9. i have public liability and pretty much all the subbies i use are people i have known for a long time so hopefully we wouldnt end up with the tree on house.
  10. last year i had subbies working for me a handfull of times. i want to get employers liability, is it going to be worth the extra cost for the handful of times i use subbies?? obviously if a subby put a tree through someones roof i would be saying i wish i had EL.
  11. i had trouble with my ms200. cleaned everything out, worm gear fine and it looked as though the oil was coming out when i ran it with out the bar but it would not oil the chain. replaced the oil pump and boom oiling fine! you could also try rinsing the oil tank out with petrol in case there is crap in there.
  12. i have not found one yet. having trouble with my truck at the moment so the grinder may be on the back boiler for the moment! it good to get peoples opinion. i have done a lot of grinding with a vermeer self propelled grinder which was easy peasy to use and fairly powerfull- not sure i will be getting any of that luxury when i eventually get one.
  13. i prefer a truck that has/ had doors that keep the wind and rain out as standard from the factory. and landy is not in my feeble price range.
  14. hello all. i am wanting to change my fourtrak for a pick up and was wondering if the vauxhall brava or its isuzu counterpart was much cop? thanks mark
  15. yeah the leaking sounds terminal i will do you a favour and take the tractor off your hands:thumbup: i have a 4/65 myself but running a 6 cylinder lump. just started stripping it down to do a suspected head gasket- hopefully not the linners.
  16. drugs at work is a no no. i have worked with people that have been recreational drug users - outside of work. my main problem was the mood swings and temper flair ups. doesnt make for a nice atmosphere.
  17. nuffield 4/65?
  18. In the btcv hedge laying hand book it says you can lay down hill aswell, and I have done.
  19. Only 90. I had 100mph on my old k reg fourtrak. Had the pump wound up as much as I could. And for your in formation that was off the clock
  20. Hello guys. I am looking for my first stump grinder. May I add I am on a budget and will be looking at a second hand unit. What machines should I be looking out for? Thanks mark
  21. double bagging here. i like to where glasses and a visor- and still manage to get stuff in my eyes occasionally
  22. great trucks. look out for the rear cross member rusting out and inner rear wheel arch and boot floor. great off road and great for towing. and if its a 94 then it should be the independant model which is a comfier drive.
  23. i can get through 2-3 inch stuff with the brable type blade. not sure how ggod it is for the machine!!
  24. i am not even going to try and attempt a search for 550 problems because i will be here all day looking through threads!!! i have had the saw for about a year and it has given me no problems, one brake band which is wear and tear. but the other day i went to start my saw half way through the day - was using it earlier in the day- and the choke/ stop button doesn't stay in the chocke position. if i take the top cover off i can get it to work by giving it a firm push up wards. not ideal. any ideas??? kind regards mark
  25. havent come across anything up my way, just plenty of rain!!
