  1. Cheers joe. The climbers are really good aswel so i will learn alot them and their giving me plenty of climbing practice . I thought steve was trying to patronize me unless ive missed something , which by the sounds of it i have. Anyway thanks for the advice.
  2. Great advice for doing things quicker . I Think the council would have something to say if i did that to a tree that was down as a general prune though haha
  3. Its hard to tell on here if people are being sarcastic because there are some idiots out there
  4. If i did that id be getting my P45. We are a team and everything we do is to help one another . Im being taught to do things the exact opposite to what you have suggested but i know other people do things differently so each to their own.
  5. Thanks i got told the same thing about having too much confidence can lead to accidents or things going wrong
  6. I have just over 1 years climbing experience and started a new job 1 month ago as a trainee climber. The work we do is for the council so we have daily targets that we have to meet. I have been told that my climbing is ok but i need to gain speed. They understand that it comes with time and they want me to do things right and safe for now but i still need to improve. The guys who are training me are great and full of experience and have already given me advice on how things are done and what i need to do to improve. I just thought id come on here to get other climbers advice and tips on how to become a good climber. Thanks
  7. Yes IMO. the guy i worked with had both and i would choose the 395 over the 660 any day but each to their own. I prefer any husky saw over stihl to be honest
  8. 395 all the way . less vibration, more power, most comfortable IMO
  9. A spindle tree Euonymus europaeus. ( thats a guess but looks pretty similar to me)
  10. yea its a tough one mate. just keep looking and putting yourself out there and im sure something will come up
